We visited for a mid week lunch. The food was fantastic. Seafood Gratin and Smoked Salmon Pokie Bowl did not disappoint.
When we arrived it was nice and calm and quiet but as more people arrived the accoustics of the room do not make it an easy experience. Sitting next to the window was lovely for the view, but was very cold because of the draughts (understandable because of the age of the building, but I am sure a little better table layout wouldn’t hurt with keeping people comfortable.

A lovely place for those who appreciate a higher standard and enjoy exquisite food. I just popped in for a quick lunch and had green pea soup with homemade bread — both were delicious. I also had a peek at what others were having, and it all looked incredibly moreish. The waiter was very polite; I mentioned I was short on time, and he served me quickly. The pleasant ambience added to the experience. I’ll be back at the earliest opportunity.

5 stars all round. A fantastic place to eat. The quality of food is excellent, the service is great, as is the atmosphere. The portion sizes are good and the price is very fair for the quality. We will go back again and again. We were very impressed and would recommend.

Simply fantastic. The restaurant manages to be casually decadent, and the food we experienced was truly remarkable. Fantastic menu – simple yet varied. Wholly recommend the smoked salmon sharing boards, and the lobster bisque. Both of which are reasonably priced, but truly delicious. The wine selection is very good too, and it’s a wonderfully light part of the building with great views. The service too was great, can’t fault our lunch in the slightest.

We started off with the salmon taster board (£20) which was really good (we chose the sweetcorn blinis as our pairing). The hot kiln smoked one ended up being our favourite. We then had the dressed Cromer crab (£19.50) and the double salmon and crayfish royale (£17).
The staff were super friendly and attentive.
Will definitely be back.

Went for Valentines with my partner. Lovely atmosphere and nice views from the side to the street and market below while eating. Food was excellent and great value especially the boards. The valentines deal for free fizz with the oyster was much appreciated. Oyster were very large and delicious. Place seems generally targeted towards an older audience as it seems like we were the youngest there by a good decade or two but feel very welcome none the less. Was served by two lovely waitresses younger brunette and older blonde lady who one of which was called Annie and was a amazing hostess. Will definitely be back!

Our first but certainly not our last visit. We went to one of the other restaurants in the department store but didn’t like the changed menu.
We left and came here. Delightful
The menu is inventive if a little more than Mc Donald’s!
