If you want the most amazing smoked food of your life this is the place you need to be. Had fried pickles as an appetizer and they were by far the best I’ve ever had. Had 2 types of wings between 5 of us Louisiana hot which is comparable to the regular standard heat buffalo wing maybe even milder and honey pineapple teriyaki, both were amazing. Because they’re smoked the Louisiana hot are a dry wing while the honey pineapple were sauced. My girlfriend had the smoked turkey wrap which I tried before my wings and almost stole from her. If you’re ever anywhere near this place do yourself a favor and stop!!!!

Introduction: Been going to The Barrel House for about a year. 7/10 times that I’ve visited has been satisfactory. The employees are very nice and it’s a family friendly establishment. Being a born and raised Texan, I sure do appreciate the great home-tastin BBQ!
Pros: Great food and very friendly service.
Cons: When there are a lot of customers the wait time is usually around 30-45 minutes to receive your order. During their busy hours the wait time increases, but the food quality decreases. This isn’t always the case, but I experienced it three times and it seemed they had issues with handling larger crowds on weekend nights. If all the seats and tables are filled, come back another time. They don’t have a lot of servers so be patient.

We came on a Friday. The service was terrible, maybe she was having a bad night. The fish was just ok. So we figured we would give them another try on Sunday. My wife and I had the all you can eat wings. They were just ok also. Service still terrible. If I go out for dinner I don’t expect to go to the bar every time my wife and I need a drink. Both times they were not all that busy that that could be the excuse. I give it two thumbs down!!

It’s a tight fit to get thru in here if people are sitting at the tables!
I’m done with the negative, on to the positive. We weren’t sure of what we wanted, and we didn’t recognize many of the wing sauce flavors but the service was patient and polite as they gave us little sauce samples to help us make up our minds. The chicken was cooked to perfection, the sauces caused us to suffer addictions, and we left with full bellies and big smiles!!!

The brisket alone is worth the drive from Milwaukee, but the burgers will knock your socks off, too! Great bloodies, great food and friendly staff. This is one of my favorite little places for a great lunch on the weekend.

Went there with my girlfriend On a Friday for the first time, Definitely one of if not THE most expensive place I’ve ate out at….if you go there expect ONE MEAL to be AT LEAST 16-20$ The service was horrible aswel. Waited twenty minutes for appetizers and another twenty for our food. The place is a bar too so expect to not be able to here each other talk and people almost bump in to you while you eat….and to top it off the food was pretty bad…my potato cuts we’re soaked in a puddle of butter and the fish was seasoned so much it tasted like straight salt. My girlfriends burger was pink when she asked for well done….I’m ok with expensive but it should at least be good food!

What a great place for food. Huge smothered burrito on Tex mex Tuesday was the best I’ve ever had. They also have shrimp, great burgers, and chicken wings done however you like them. Say hi to chef Steve-O when you’re there.

I’ve gone there before and it was 5 stars but I was disappointed on Wednesday. I was under the impression it was wings Wednesday but they changed it so it was Chicken nuggets no better than McDonalds and it took about 45minutes to get my order. It’s still a great bbq place.

REAL food here, no shortcuts, no “heat ‘n’ serve” like most pubs. Great burgers and barbeque, and they even have lighter/healthier options. Owners and chef are great, highly recommend!
