I have an Update! (At the bottom is my original review)
We went back a couple times and still are enjoying every bite. Highly recommend the Barrel House for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner! The Phiily Cheese Steak wrap is amazing and Sweet potato Fries taste fresh. The Chicken Strips (not pictured) are better than any I have tried before. Flattened Chicken breast covered in house batter and fried to perfection!! I cannot express myself enough how much I like this place. The burgers were delicious and sliders is a definite recommendation. The staff is incredible, super friendly and helpful.

We finally found a new spot for our rotation! It’s honestly rare for me to find a place that really stands out especially when it comes to breakfast, but The Barrel House Bar and Cafe totally nailed it. The atmosphere felt so cozy and comfortable, and Debbie took such good care of us. She was amazing. Everything we ate was amazing. The veggies tasted fresh, the potatoes were crispy, and those slabs of ham were delicious. I kept catching myself looking at the food going to other tables because everything looked incredible.
Still not disappointed!

Made my inaugural visit Saturday morning @ open…w a friend who used to regular so she knew bartender Ryan….delightfully friendly and attentive fellow! I liked the comfortable and welcoming vibe. Parking was easy in their private lot. Plenty of natural light. I decided not to eat but my friends everything omelet w a generous serving of hashbrowns and the massive pancake looked delicious! A happy hour poster caught my eye…will have to come in for an early dinner and some HH bevvies on my next stop. I don’t get a dive bar vibe… more of a neighborhood bar feel. Definitely looking forward to my next stop in. Thanks and Cheers Barrel House!

Food was good. I had a classic chicken sandwich with white sauce. The also serve it with Nashville hot sauce. The party melt also looked good. Food came out in a timely manner. Service was okay. Prices were fair for the amount of food.

Got the sampler app. Only thing good is the chix tenders. Onion rings were soggy and mozz sticks did not have any cheese pull. Ordered the walleye dinner. Taste was great but I was constantly picking out fish bones while eating. Dont seem like you clean out the fish before cooking.

Great neighborhood sports bar. Server was friendly, efficient, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. They serve breakfast all day! However, I opted for an appetizer. Chicken quesadilla had thick slices of tender grilled chicken with diced grilled onions and a blend of melted cheeses. Perfectly distributed! Bacon cheeseburger was juicy and flavorful. Great presentation, but not pretentious. This cook takes pride in their work. There is a separate restaurant side and bar side. Bar was very lively with loud country music playing and an NFL game on their many large TVs at the same time. I’ll be back for the service and the food!

I stopped into the Barrel House Bar & Cafe for the first time today and had such a great experience! I sat on the cafe side and was greeted right away by JC, who was super friendly and got me a water and menu right off the bat. I let her know it was my first time, and she made me feel totally welcome.

A few minutes later, my server Darcy introduced herself and explained the layout — two sides to the place, but I could order anything from either side without moving tables. Love that! I ordered a beer which came out lightning fast. When I asked how long she’d worked there, she said “forever,” which made me laugh — and also meant she had solid menu recommendations. (Side note: they serve breakfast all day).

Darcy suggested a few favorites and I ended up going with the eggs Benedict and hash browns. The food came out in what felt like 7 minutes or less — super quick — and everything looked and tasted amazing. The hash browns were golden brown perfection and the portion sizes were generous. The hollandaise was a bit heavier than I personally like, but I just mixed it into my hash browns and it tasted great.

The cafe side was fairly busy during my visit, but having been in the restaurant industry for 20 years, I can read a room — and the vibe at every table was relaxed and happy. JC and Darcy were handling it all with ease, keeping drinks full and guests taken care of, all while smiling and staying genuinely friendly. They made it look effortless.

I’m not sure if this place is a local secret or well-known, but as someone visiting from Phoenix, finding a local gem like this when I travel is always a win. Highly recommend — I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!

One of my favorite places to eat.
Great eggs Benedict for breakfast and great burgers and turkey club for dinner.
They can get pretty packed, so service isn’t always fast, but they are always nice and friendly and so worth the food!

Stopped in for a Wednesday brunch. Was surprised by how busy it was for the lunch crowd. Pleased they serve breakfast all day. We’ve frequently dined here in the past when it was Pappy’s and B and K’s. Still churning out some excellent breakfasts. Everything and Spinach Omelets had a nice little sear to their exteriors with tasty bacon, sausage, and ham. Meats and veggies were sauteed well enough to give them extra flavor and color. Hash Browns could have been a little crispier since they were only browned on one side. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! Really enjoy the up north home cooking feel. Mushroom Swiss Burger was thick, juicy, and well seared. Toasted bun help accent the crispy char! One of the best we’ve tasted in awhile. Only wish the the fries were a thinner and crispier.

Our goal was a great breakfast that had bloody Mary’s. Goal Achieved! Little hole in the wall cafe with a bonus bar. Food was good, our waitress was very nice and a good bs’er. Thank you for a fun Saturday morning
