We came to Estes Park from Houston, and The Barrel quickly became our favorite place to hang out. It’s super clean, comfortable, and very kid-friendly—there were games to keep the kids busy while we played pool and relaxed, which is always a win.

The beer and whiskey selection is way better than you’d expect, and the bartenders were extremely pleasant and attentive every time we visited.

They’re also outside-food friendly, which is awesome. The two times we went, we ate from the food trucks outside—sushi one day and Johnny’s Food Truck the next—and honestly it was the best food we had in Estes Park. (No offense, Colorado… we’re just picky Texans when it comes to food.)

We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town. Highly recommend stopping in if you want a laid-back place to hang out.

Great place, laid back great vibe. It was pet and kid friendly. Rotating food trucks was nice. Great selection of beers and alcohol. Their selection of games kept my little ones busy so we could hang out and play pool. It was clean and the staff was very nice and attentive. It’s my new place to hang out next time we’re in town.

Lovely little place and if you are looking for a huge amount of draft beer, this is the place! They even have cider on tap. Everything you can imagine. A must stop in Estes. The rusty nail imperial stout is fantastic and their current pumpkin cider is great too.

The Barrel is bigger and more beautiful than ever. We love to see a good tap list and gorgeous planters!! Flights are available for the beer lovers and there are also listed cocktails, bloody mary’s (pickled green beans-unreal), a great whiskey selection, seriously whatever you could want to order. There’s usually a food truck on premise/bring your own food. Ingrid & Lou are wonderful owners and it’s always a pleasure to see them. Highly recommend.

Food was great, highly recommend the brussel sprouts if you like hot honey, great burnt level to them. Beer selection is stellar. Bartender even made me a legit German Radler (75% German Dunkel and 25% lemonade), amazing.

The one annoyance is the beer selection screens. There is a 10 second timer between the two screens (I clocked it) and the two screens had 16 and 19 beers on them. It made it very difficult to actually see what’s on them. I wasn’t the only one complaining, as multiple people asked for a beer menu because they couldn’t read the screen. Seriously considering doubling that time to actually make the screens useful.

The staff are always so friendly here, the atmosphere is super chill (absolutely love being able to take our dog inside!) and the beer is always top-notch. Definitely one of the better selections I’ve seen in quite a considerable time. Keep up being awesome!

Stopped in while touring Estes for a beer and lunch. They have a huge beer selection on tap, all craft. Full bar as well.

It’s a beer garden style place with benches outside in the courtyard. Food truck that is Mexican style is right on lot.

They also have a large indoor space as well with a pool table. Dog friendly too, only 2 short blocks off main street.

Beer, cider, and a full bar, but no food. Food truck nearby. Seem to be a lot of locals. No menu or menu board, strictly online. I would definitely go again, but I think I would like to explore some other places in Estes Park before I go back.

I somehow overlooked this review and I must apologize to the tremendous staff at this establishment.

My family and I were there in late June. We had a wedding reception and rehearsal event at this business. This is one of the most accommodating businesses I have been to.

My oldest daughter and son in-law were being celebrated for their union. I’m not sure how many people we had in attendance but it certainly never felt crowded. There was plenty of room and the staff ensured we all were attended to.

For the rehearsal event, we opted to support the local food truck scene and was not disappointed. That goes to show that The Barrel cares for your experience, end to end.

There were lots of drinks and loads of celebrated moments. My family grew by many and I am grateful that we chose such a magical place as Estes Park moreover, The Barrel. You all will maintain a place in our memories and we will undoubtedly return in celebration.

We stopped at The Barrel after a morning hike in Rocky Mountain National Park. The atmosphere is fantastic with indoor and outdoor seating.
They have a WIDE range of drinks an the bartenders were very helpful helping us find drinks.
I ended up with a Colorado Peach Cider and some street taco from EP Bross food truck which were awesome.
This is a must stop if you’re in Estes Park Colorado!
