EH…just disappointing- one entree was good but the other was inedible. The good was the Halibut with angel hair pasta , wife liked it, although only could eat 1/2 asparagus (not fresh) But after finishing she noticed a chip about inch long and deep on the plate- that’s a FOOD SAFTEY ISSUE. I expect more when receiving a $49 dollar plate-of food. Someone took the time to construct that plate wipe it down and still sent it out.YIKES. I got the barnyard grilled chicken sandwich- well constructed- love the house pickle but chicken was unedible. I got the peice that cooked before lunch( we ate at 3pm ) someone gave me a piece of chicken they wouldn’t eat themselves (see pic). 100% of the time I would’ve sent that back, but it was my wife’s day. The focus was on her.Fries were fine not scratch. Lunch was $105 with one beer / pop/ tip/ tax and a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. (which is a BS charge, the restaurant is smart enough to include Rent ,utilities, non-food supplies ,salaries and profit into the cost of a plate of food. maybe you should figure out that 80% of your customers will use the credit card incorporate that into your plate cost. Here’s an idea, rebate customers using cash people love getting money at the end and more likely would probably give that to your servers.) overall, lunch was $105 for two drinks and one edible entrée it was nice inside and server was good.

We ordered clam chowder and grilled shrimp taco. The chowder was really good and the taco had a great seasoning especially the side condiments – cheese, bean and salsa for the tortillas chip.

Excellent food, well curated Beer and wine, great place for the family with lots of areas outside. Very comfortable inside and out. I had the fish tacos, both grilled and fried both excellent with red cabbage, mango and the house salsa . House made chips are as light and crisp as you could ever want.

Barnyard was a pleasant surprise—a tucked-away spot with standout character. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between cozy and vibrant, making it feel like a well-kept secret worth sharing. From the moment we arrived, the service was attentive and welcoming, and the food and drinks delivered on every front. It’s the kind of place that invites you to linger, enjoy, and come back for more.

An excellent Eatery! The first thing you see is this desert outside .. of course, it’s Tucson AZ. Ladies be careful if you are wearing your expensive shoes. When Parking ️ on the dirt. My husband loves to surprise me he didn’t know there were no concrete pavements. I am so glad my husband did take me to this wonderful place. Because it would have been a bummer if I have never seen it or heard about it. Second, what got me to notice was the arch entry and grass as well as things for the kids to play in.., there were dining areas outside that was well shaded from the harsh sun. Once you go in it’s surprisingly beautiful a very busy place. Moderately loud. We had a nice server and and she helped us with our orders we told her it’s our first time there and she suggested some good things . My husband had ordered steaks and beer a real Texan man . I had the same but with the wine their wine choices are succinct. Of course , later the deserts.. sorry didn’t take pictures. Last of all, it was a great day and we were both very happy as we were leaving the restaurant. if we were to ever go back to AZ. We will definitely go back again. Go check it out. You won’t regret it.

Been to the Barnyard many times and never had an experience like last night. Yes, it was a Saturday night so it was busy. We were told it would be an hour wait . We were bringing out of town family to try so we were ok with the wait. What we were not ok with was waiting the hour to learn they gave our table away because the hostess wrote down my phone number wrong. Ok, so we get seated, server was ok. We wanted to make a couple side substitutions and were told no. Not very cool, but we just said ok. I couldn’t wait to eat and see what the family thought. Fast forward 1.5 hours later, still no food and now the restaurant is almost empty. I was not happy. It’s one thing to wait to be seated, but to wait double that to get food is unacceptable! My food arrived cold but edible. At this point I was starving and tired. I did ask for the owner at the end of the meal, but was told he was gone, so I asked for a manager. They sent some young girl that just tried to justify our evening and that’s unacceptable. I explained that to her and for a party of 5 she gave us $14 off the bill. Wow, that was insulting and rude. Not a good night, but at least we spent time with family.

This is the second time we have made it to barnyard. We absolutely love this restaurant. The atmosphere is so unique and absolutely fantastic for people with children since you can let them play around outside outside while waiting for food. Yes sometimes they are a little slow to get get back to your table, so it’s always best to be ready to order if you don’t wanna wait long, but the service has always been kind and helpful and the food is amazing and in our opinion, very reasonably priced, depending on what you want.

We have been eating and entertaining family and friends at The Barnyard Crafthouse & Eatery, almost since it opened. And we will continue to do the same. However, last night we took our family for supper, and I ordered a “new” item on the menu. It was the “Sonoran Smash Burger” with “Garlic Pigtails”. In the past I have ordered my hamburgers cooked as rare as the kitchen would make them.
I asked the server just what the smash burger was. I was told it was two 3-ounce pieces of hamburger smashed on the hot grill and then stacked on the bun. Also, I’m not a fan of the “French fries” so I asked what else came with it and I was told for $6 more I could get garlic pigtails. I agreed with that suggestion but made the mistake of not asking just what they were.
The Sonoran part of my order was nice, but the two black charred pieces of meat, that, when cooked, could not have weighed more than 4 ounces, were horrible. The Garlic Pigtails were the same fries I usually do not like or eat. It was a small bunch of fries with about 12-15 string-like pieces of garlic and was lukewarm. Not worth the extra cost. Only two of us orderred the smash burger, the rest of our group had the usual great food.

We like it, we love it, we want more of it!
Very nice new casual hot spot on Tucson’s East side. It’s pretty Far East! The outdoor vibe was clean and bright and it was nice to have a drink in their Adirondack chairs while we waited for a table. Inside seating was a urban-farm vibe and outside was patio-umbrella casual. Corn-hole bags being thrown in the background!
Nice, fun and fast servers. The manager, CJ, was very nice as well. They are very busy and they are hauling it to keep up, but we really liked it and will be back with more friends next time!
Erin was an awesome server! Loved the burger and the cauliflower appetizer and everything else is so great.
