quality baked goods, flavorful homecooked selections – from wings and egg salad to eggplant parmigiana and guacamole depending on the day. The Barn also has options to order pies and full meals around special holidays and for events. Its a great place to pop in for a snack or sit down for a nice lunch.

Delicious homemade donuts, burgers are pretty decent too. The decor is a must see. I suggest going early to get the donuts fresh out of the oven, but they don’t serve burgers till 10:45am.

Not great food. Perhaps we visited for the wrong product? … We heard The Barn was a good place for food and thought we’d stop in for lunch. We ordered a variety of dishes to try, and realized that it was not actually a place to eat when the sales person overheated our choices in the microwave. Needless to say, everything was tired and dry or tough, and flavor was mediocre.

Is not a legit deli, nor is it quite a place to eat, but it’s not a fresh food market either. Simply a dusty, rustic “could-be” any one of the above. The potential is there, but unrealized.

I eat here a minimum of once per week. Kay and her family always treat myself and my friends extremely well. It’s kinda like visiting mom, I always leave happy and usually very full! Great food, doughnuts and coffee!

You walk in and the vibe is kinda cool. Kinda bohemian. I dig it.
That’s where it ends. First of all on the chalkboard is a list of burgers.

Well on that list was the mushroom burger. I love burgers with mushrooms on it. So I order it. I get Swiss cheese, onions, tomatoes, lettuce.
Grab a ice tea out of the cooler of drinks.
Now while I’m at it let me mention they have Cokes in the cooler in the old time bottles. Nice right? Except there is no bottle opener. No big deal. Like I said I like ice tea and they have quite the selection.
So I wait. And I wait. Oh and then I wait some more. Ok. No problem. There is alot of cool stuff to look at.
Meanwhile let’s just talk about the people who frequent this establishment.
If you are looking for the most over privileged, snobby people too look down upon you, well then look no further.
So finally our lunch comes. The burgers are small. The fries are good.
Now let’s talk about my burger. Remember? The mushroom burger on the list of burgers? So okay it’s a mushroom made like a burger. A huge fried portobello mushroom.
Now to be honest with you it was good. But I feel like this was the bait and switch.
Once I reviewed the menu on my table I notice that there is a description for this “burger”.
But up on the chalkboard it is not so apparent.
All in all the food is ok. The place is cool to look at. The people eating there are awful and I’m glad I moved out of the valley because it is definitely not the place I grew up in the 80s.
Probably will not return.

They never put in one of our orders. We had to remind them that we ordered. The burger was good but it would’ve been better if I was able to eat it with the rest of our party.

This is a really nice spot in Closter, you can sit down and have a leisurely lunch, decor is quirky. I bring my mom here sometimes, we drink unsweet tea, she loves the quiche.

Very home-like experience. Friendly staff good food, prices are reasonable. They can basically make you whatever you want, just ask. Come here at least 3 times a week for lunch.

Their donuts are made fresh from scratch every morning, and you can tell the difference! I suggest the granulated sugar donuts that are warm off the fryer; they are a taste of heaven!
