Katie made us feel right at home. We are new to the area but she made us feel like we knew her forever.

1st timer here. Atmosphere and sweet lady behind the bar i give 5 stars…. the food…. ummm well, it was half weird and half decent. Husband got a taco salad… WEIRD …it was an entire bed of large leaf iceberg lettuce over tortilla chips with cold chili poured ontop then cold runny nacho cheese. Nothing about it was very taco like. It was litterely a cold chili salad, that left an after taste that reminded him of aftershave mixed with vomit. And it lingered.

I had a Philly cheese steak and sweet potato fries…fries were good and cooked perfect, def recommend, Philly cheese was decent just tasted like a frozen mix you heat up. Not actual fresh skirt steak and peppers with real cheese. Bun was soggy but edible.

I would Def come back to play some pool and have a good time but maybe stick to the burger and fries…. not sure if I would want to risk eating a steak there after eating the meat on the philly cheese. But for bar food, its pretty much what we expected aside from that WEIRD chili salad…. that we dont recommend. Ever. Just say no.

Our meal was $35 for a “taco ” salad, Philly cheese with fries and 2 drinks…. If I paid based on the food being edible id say it was worth…. ummm… total $11.42.

We are now at Casey’s getting my husband some pizza.

Anyways, Merry Christmas!

They have the perfect simple menu. I absolutely love the BLT! The fries are great. The burger is solid. The pool table works great, and you can play almost any song you want on a digital juke box.

When you arrive, it says The Barn, a bar and restaurant. Honestly, it was more bar than restaurant. When we entered the front door, we were in a bar. We were not acknowledged and we couldn’t tell who the employees might be, as opposed to the customers. After a couple of minutes of standing around, not knowing if we should just find a table, the cigarette smoke inside was so heavy, I could barely breathe and we decided to leave. Surprisingly, a customer followed us out, calling out to us and apologizing if it was his bad language that ran us off. When I explained it was the lack of service and the cigarette smoke, he told us we could eat outside and indicated the table on the porch. He told us he would let somebody know we were out there.

About 5 minutes later, a young lady came out and asked us what we would like to drink. She’s didn’t know what was on tap and told us she’d ask. When she came back out and listed the beer, both choices we wanted were sold out. I settled for water, my companion settled for a concocted hard cider.

We had to ask for menus, telling her we wanted to eat.

On a happy note, the fried catfish and fries were delicious, as was the pork tenderloin and mashed potatoes with white gravy.

This place is a ways out and the roads leading to it are in terrible shape.

Go for the food

I’d never been here before, decided to give it a try. Definitely more of a bar than a restaurant, I had no idea until we came in. Food was alright, very bland and most of it was cold. Wouldn’t go back
