The Crestwood Barn came heavily recommended by family members. We live about 2 miles away, so we decided to finally step in for lunch. The Barn closes at 1:30 daily and you can have both breakfast and lunch from open to close.

This place is very charming. This is an older “barn” but it’s such a cute atmosphere and there’s tons of seating and decor. The service was excellent — we didn’t have a singular server but everyone who checked on us/took our order was extremely friendly & helpful.

The food was really good. I got a Half & Half (with an Egg Salad BLT Sandwich & a cup of Loaded Potato Soup). It was delicious. Whoever thought of an Egg Salad BLT deserves a medal. My Mom loved her Half & Half as well, she got a delicious Chicken Salad Sandwich and a Harvest Sandwich.

We ended with a slice of Coconut Cream Pie which was beyond delicious. 10/10 atmosphere, service and food. We will be back.

Lovely place with an outside deck. It was a bit chilly for outside but it looked lovely and I’ll return in warmer weather. Inside was great and the food was just fantastic. I tried everything on the table and loved every bite! Well prepared and presented. Seemingly high quality ingredients and super tasty! If the entire menu is as good as all the items we tried I would recommend everything. Will definitely be back on a future visit. The only issue is that the music inside was loud which, combined with a full house, also speaking loudly, made it difficult out to hear.

The Barn is a quaint spot with rustic decor, acute gift shop upstairs! The staff here is so friendly and helpful. They recommend great food options and drinks for the whole family!!

The Mimosa menu is a dream and has options for everyone!
Eggs Benedict’s are always a treat. But the rotating specials of avocado toast, French toast, and quiche are always a standout pick!

Kristin, Jax, and Niki are the best servers around the St. Louis breakfast/lunch seen!

Another diamond in the rough. Great food, made from scratch (at least it tastes that way). I recommend the biscuits n sausage gravy. The barn breakfast in first pic was tasty and the French toast wad good too. Sausage n gravy is the best on the menu.

Upgraded the food review. It is really good. The keish, chocolate chip pancakes, Mississippi Delta, smoked ham, bacon, eggs were all really good. I upgraded the service review. Service was very satisfactory and staff were courteous and helpful. We had a ticket issue that took some time to work out but all is really good there.

Atmosphere is downgraded however. When you enter it is tight quarters. People coming and going prevents assembly of guests and free flow of movement. Particularly if staff and customer orders are flowing to outdoor seating.

We were seated at an outdoor table next to their outdoor busing station. This location is a bit noisy but amenable. However while waiting for our wait staff to make initial contact – which was only a few minutes – given how busy the facility was; I had two incidents where waste paper and used napkins from tableware being bussed and carried to the busing station blown onto me. Staff did apologize but this is not helpful with the dining experience. I asked one of the staff members to re-seat us to a newly opened table to get away from the busing station.

One staff member left his duties two times to move his motorcycle. The second time he moved it into the yard next to the restaurant and had to start it to get it to it’s final location.

Other than that the food here is worth the visit and pricing is good.

2018 – The food is really good. They had interesting breakfast specials but I elected to go with traditional bacon eggs and toast with a side of grits. Grits are not homemade by the cook is good at making them appear and taste like they are. The food was very good. I am thinking however that I should have gone for the breakfast special. What I saw was amazing looking.

The food is absolutely amazing at the Barn! Whether you’re getting eggs Benedict or French toast for breakfast or you’re getting a sandwich or salad for lunch, you won’t be disappointed! Their alcoholic beverages don’t hold back either!! Make sure you have a DD. And whatever you do, save room for the lemon gooey butter cheesecake. It’s absolutely incredible…one slice is plenty to share!

A few of my coworkers and I had a really lovely brunch here. I think we were all first-timers. The food was delicious—fresh, hearty, obviously prepared with care. Our server was funny and engaging. We didn’t have the fortitude to try any desserts that time, but we plan to next time. We highly recommend the Barn. It is right on Grant’s Trail and has pretty grounds so you can wander around either place if you have to wait for a table or if you want to stretch your legs after the meal.

Cute little barn house on the edge of the hiking trail. Great food, friendly & attentive staff, and nice atmosphere.

Our group tried a wide variety of the breakfast menu. Everyone was happy with what they got. I tried the Texan Benedict with Braised Beef Short Ribs. They were phenomenal and fall-apart good.

Parking can be somewhat challenging as t peak times with the small attached lot filling up. We visited on the weekend and there’s an elementary school across the main road with some additional parking that we and other guests seemed to use.

Staff were very quick to clear good and refill drinks. Everyone was friendly and checked on us. During weekend brunch they really encourage eating and then leaving to flip tables including with some signage requesting patrons to be considerate of those waiting. This location would not be a good choice for long coffees/chatting following the meals.

Overall, quite happy with our experience and will plan to return!

This is a great little spot to relax, catch up with friends/family. The scenery is truly beautiful. It’s like a step back in time. The staff is always very friendly. They’re really on top of their service. Not only does your waiter check on you, the entire staff does. The biscuits and gravy were good. I prefer a little more spice to mine, but they were good. If you’re looking for something different, try their strata! It’s so good! Treat yourself to this cute little place. You won’t regret it!
