Ribs, pulled pork and mac&cheese to die for. Never expected to find real southern comfort flavor in Seattle. 5 stars land short of my rating.

Best ribs I’ve had in Seattle. They’re moist and juicy. They put the sauce on the side. The first time I went there the owner said I’ll be back, and he was right.

Got the chopped brisket sandwich. the sauce was kinda tomato-ey but it worked really well. best brisket I’ve had in Seattle so far (I’m
not an expert, grain of salt, etc)
the baked beans were rich in brown sugar, I enjoyed every last bite. they were out of mac n cheese which was my first choice. guess I’ll have to come back.
the owner and the young woman working there were both very friendly and I will certainly recommend to everyone I know.

One of my all time favorite BBQ place, very lovely people (Pookey is really fun), and mouth watering, melt in your mouth ribs… the whole slab gives you the best bang for your buck ($27 including tax) if you have 2-3 people or more, it’s got a lot of ribs and tips. Cash only.

“Best Ribs in Seattle!” – I anxiously and happily make the drive — some 140 miles from Vancouver, BC to Seattle Washington — to have Pookey’s delicious mouth watering, wood-fired, slowly smoked ribs with lots of barbeque sauce at the Barbeque Pit. The collard greens are simply delicious. And, I love the beans! I even bring back ribs back for friends at home. I can’t say enough about the food and the quality of human being that he is. When I met him about 6 years ago, his main concern was giving back to the community and not charging so much that people in the community would not have access to an affordable, quality meal. I find this admirable, especially, in a world of big box stores and impersonal fast food chains. Thank you Pookey for your craft and art!

Fall of the bone pork ribs. Flavorful baked beans and tasty potato salad. With the dinner you get a healthy portions of all three. Pookey is the man that knows his barbeque. Stop by and get your fill.

I had excellent customer service from the owner himself. I just moved from Texas to Seattle and I found my new rib place. The ribs are so tasty. It really is fall of the bone good. I also tried the the Brisket sandwich and found it very good and filling. I do have to say there Mac and cheese sticks to more of an original style taste. I’ve tried a few around town and they try so hard that they fail but I was very pleased and satisfied with this Mac and cheese. I would definitely come back.

This is some pretty good barbecue for Seattle.
I’ve tried both the pulled pork and pulled beef sandwiches. Both were good, although I think I slightly preferred the beef. Also, you can add a hot link to any sandwich for just $1! They go a little lite on sauce, so you might want to ask for extra or add your own.
Side selection is somewhat limited to potato salad, baked beans, and greens. The potato salad was good but really needed some paprika (which I added myself at home, at which point is was excellent.) The greens were a pleasant surprise and probably the best thing I’ve had here. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. If everything else was that good, this place would easily be 5-stars.
Update: Tried beans and they were quite good. A little pork in them would have gone a long way, but I understand leaving that out. Smooth, smokey, and sweet. The way good BBQ beans should be.
