I had been avoiding the Bar and it’s locations for years now as it just didn’t look interesting. On a whim we decided to try it and I was beyond disappointed. For starters, the ambiance is non existent. It’s bright, industrial, and every TV had the same game on. It was more like a Sports Clips than a bar. The food was bad, no question about it. We were pretty convinced the fried pickles were from frozen. My burger was dry and flavorless, and I do not exagerate when I say I can microwave a frozen burger that is better. Perhaps that’s what they did. My wife got a BLT that was fatty, soggy bacon and tons of mayo. It was truly disgusting. The fries were ok, I suppose. Our service was pretty mediocre with it taking me 10 minutes to get a water I asked for well after we got our food. As if all of that wasn’t enough, we both felt sick after we left
I cannot for the life of me understand what kind of person goes here when Sully’s is right down the street and great places like Talk of the Town, the Peanut, and Grinders all exist in the metro. I’ve reviewed many places here on Google but I think the Bar might actually be the worst restaurant I’ve been too in KC. Bar food is the easiest cuisine to make and the fact that they failed so incredibly is almost impressive.

I love this place. A go to staple of mine with my friends. Daily food deals, quality food and a fun atmosphere for sports or just seeing friends. There is also an outdoor patio. Food and drinks are reasonably priced. Would recommend!

The princess and I came here for the chicken fried chicken and it didn’t disappoint. I tried the burger and it was also excellent. Easy to find with plenty of parking in their ample parking lot as well as street parking. This sports bar has a fun and lively atmosphere. Although it was fairly loud we never had any problems talking to each other. The wait staff was as impressive as the food. I’m sure we will return soon. Update I had lunch with a friend at the 95street location. The atmosphere was of course very different at lunch time bezza they were not very crowded and it was very subdued and quite versus the night crowd. My friend enjoyed the burger..it is excellent. I hate to report that although it was very tasty the Ruben sandwich was nearly devoid of any corned beef. I was quite disappointed. I won’t lower my rating however I was not happy.

My office has frequented The Bar for lunch for a few years and it’s always been good. Lately though, the quality of the food seems to have gone down. My chicken wings used to be big and plump, but the last couple of times, they were small with broken pieces. Still had good flavor. Their tacos on Tuesdays are no longer fried. Those used to be the best! My coworker usually gets the steak wrap, and he said this last time, it seemed smaller. Service is still top notch and the atmosphere can’t be beat, for a neighborhood bar. Plenty of tv’s and the bathrooms are always clean. Just wish the food was on the level it used to be.

This is a lovely bar that was nice and warm despite the outdoor chill. I want to visit it again when the summer hits because one wall has large garage doors to open up the space more and would add to the atmosphere in the warmer months.
I split the club chicken with my friend and it was very filling. I also had a Nutcracker beer on tap and really enjoyed it!

Really, no downsides! Stopped in for lunch randomly and was very impressed. Service was great, food was outstanding and the place was just cool!
