This is a terrific little restaurant. I got the French toast and it was amazing. T was our server and she made some great menu suggestions since this was our first visit. We will definitely come again.

I can’t believe I’ve been visiting Banks Grill for years during vacation and have never written a review. Well, now I’m remedying that. Banks Grill is definitely the go-to place for an excellent meal. Their grits are the absolute best I’ve ever had, hands down! Years ago I asked them for their secret and learned they put heavy cream in them (most places don’t do this), so they definitely make them the correct way and with just enough butter. We ate here twice during our week of vacation and it was amazing every time. The Tropical Chicken Wrap is always a go-to for a lot in our party. They had their special grits bowl one day of our trip and it was awesome! Definitely don’t miss out on that if you happen to see it as the weekend special. I had an omelet the first time we ate there and it was pretty decent, but a bit too cheesy (I know, that shouldn’t’ be a bad thing lol). But it was still good. The one thing that I did not like were the beignets. They just tasted like a fried dinner roll and didn’t have that classic beignet flavor or texture. It was weird.

This is a more unique dining experience if you’re looking to try something different than just standard bacon and eggs. The breakfast menu is varied and offers things like fish cakes, tomato gravy, and fried grits. Service was nice, friendly, and relatively quick considering the dishes we ordered and the business of the restaurant. The biscuits are much different than any I’ve had before but don’t let that deter you. The homemade jam was a great topper for the biscuit. I was a little disappointed that the home fries were pre-cut potato chunks but they were very well seasoned, so that made up for it. I would definitely return.

Small restaurant in a shopping certain type setting. After about a 30 min wait on a Saturday morning we enjoyed a very tasty brunch. Dinner with 4 adults, one 5 yr old and an infant in a carrier. They were very accommodating. The food excellent…cheeseburgers, pancakes, banana French toast and beniats.

I have to say that in my travels across North Carolina, South Carolina, & Virginia, I do my best to support local venues within the area where I am at the time. This place is in my backyard, and I have never tried it. After today, there’s no question that I will be returning soon. The grits were off the chain, and the 4 POUND omelet was superb. It is well worth the wait to get a seat…..

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. The service was good & the food was DELICIOUS!!! I ordered The Banks Omelet (shrimp, pimento cheese, bacon & sauteed peppers/onions). That was one of the BEST omelets I’ve ever eaten. The home fries were very well seasoned too. I highly recommend this restaurant. I’ll definitely go back to try some other items on their menu the next time I’m in Morehead City.

I wish I could give this restaurant 10 stars! The grits are the best we have EVER had! We loved the grit fritters! The French toast, breakfast burrito, eggs, beignets, and cinnamon roll were scrumptious. The service was outstanding – very friendly and accommodating! Perfect for our party of 8!

We were lucky enough to stumble upon this gem of a restaurant for our breakfast as we were leaving town! The pancakes are the absolute BEST we have EVER had, and the Jumbo Breakfast Sandwich did NOT disappoint. It was definitely JUMBO, and absolutely delicious! Don’t skip out on the Beignets…you will be sad you did. 😉 We will definitely be dining here next time we are in Atlantic Beach.

Such a great breakfast spot! My sister said the breakfast burrito was “one of the best she’s had.” I got chocolate chip pancakes, and they were so good. The home fries were the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.
