From the beginning, Taylor their event manager was one of the kindest, professional, and organized individuals I have ever worked with planning any event. She was always available to answer any questions and made great recommendations. The set up of the Reid Room was perfect for my cocktail party. Every guest loved the food and drinks. Many guests kept talking about how they could not wait to come back!
Our server Alaina was a rockstar. Hands down one of the best! She catered to my party of 20 people all by herself and it was so impressive. Wears so thankful for such a wonderful experience at Bancroft. Highly recommend!!!
Located in the newly built complex of Thurd Avenue, the restaurant is located towards the front in one of the first buildings. There’s plenty of parking and handicapped accessible spaces nearby. The interior is an upscale industrial setting, which is well lit and inviting. This setting would be ideal for a casual meal with friends and family or a business meeting.
Our server Mike was friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. While they have a dedicated gluten-free menu for dinner, there’s no designated menu for lunch, but Mike was able to advise me on what to order. They do have a dedicated gluten-free deep fryer and everything is communicated with the chef and manager. Our meal was delicious with the steaks cooked to our preferences and the truffle fries were great.
I highly recommend this restaurant for a meal and look forward to coming back.
For the mains, we ordered the 28-day aged ribeye and the filet mignon, both medium, but they came out well done. That said, the flavor of the ribeye was still very good, though the Bancroft sauce was just okay. The filet mignon also had good flavor despite being overcooked.
We also tried the handmade pulled pork and ricotta ravioli with parmesan sauce, and that was a standout — really flavorful and well-balanced.
For sides, the polenta and smashed potatoes were a bit underwhelming, but the fries were great — crispy and served with a slightly spicy ketchup that we really enjoyed.
Service was very friendly throughout the meal. Overall, it was a great experience, just a few small details that kept it from being a perfect five stars.
