The regular loaf I received was burnt and the jalapeño cheddar loaf was a bit undercooked for my liking. They don’t let you pick out your own loaves. I am willing to give this place another try because the cinnamon loaf and cinnamon rolls look amazing. Just hoping they can find more consistency.

Love the bread toasted, plain or for sandwiches. If I really plan ahead I’ll get 2 loafs and make the most amazing French toast for a lazy weekend morning

I purchased this defective loaf of sourdough from this company at the Zionsville Farmers Market for $15. I didn’t have the opportunity to see or pick out my loaf – it was handed to me. You cannot charge premium prices for this poor of product. I’m more than willing to pay $15 (or more) for fresh baked, quality sourdough, but I have simple expectations. I don’t like to rate local companies poorly, but this was disappointing and I am highly dissatisfied.

The Baker’s House is a true gem here in the Village of Zionsville.
I’m so happy they’re here and part of our community.
Every Saturday I stop by to pick up bread and croissants for my family — they absolutely love them! Everything is fresh, delicious, and made with exceptional quality. The service is kind and welcoming, and the bakery has a charm that makes you want to come back again and again.
So grateful to have a place like this nearby. We love it!

We visit at least once per week. Often I have to buy more than one loaf because my children and I struggle to make it the short distance home without taking a few bites. You might spot my crew at a baseball game not snacking on popcorn, but rather tearing off delicious bites of this bread. Lavender Honey is a favorite. The whole grain and classic are staples. You honestly can’t go wrong with any flavor – the flavors are subtle and perfect, never too much. The Baker’s House makes a quality product. I pay very close attention to ingredients. I hate most sourdough breads because they are not pure and overpoweringly sour. Finding this gem of a bakery has been a game changer.

After purchasing a roast at Moody’s in Downtown Zionsville to serve later that day, I knew I wanted some fresh bread to go with it. A quick Google search and a short drive took me to The Baker’s House. Upon entering, I was greeted by the owner, who asked how he could help. I told him I was making a roast, and he recommended a signature sourdough loaf which was excellent. Everyone enjoyed it. The Baker’s House is a great addition to the north side of Indianapolis.

Hands down the most delicious sourdough bakery in Indy! We have tried everything and it is all delicious!! From the signature, garlic & rosemary, lemon & blueberry and marble bread to their seeded crackers, buns and homemade butter! And I can’t forget their sourdough croissants! Staff and owner are so nice and the store is darling and smells divine. Highly recommend!

LOVE this bakery! Located in the most adorable little historic house off Main St, you’ll find this incredible organic sourdough bakery. With a rotating menu of fresh, right out of the oven breads, be sure to get there early for the best selection. We arrived just before a batch of baguettes were finished and were treated to the ultimate luxury – a sourdough baguette fresh from oven with their homemade herbed butter.
HEAVEN. My children ate it within minutes. They have a cute shaded patio in front where you can enjoy your carbs and it’s just such a vibe. The service is so kind and welcoming, there are free samples, and you can just tell they love making and sharing their bread. The bread is pricey but appropriate given the clean, healthy ingredients and it’s absolutely fresh.
Although we’re in Carmel, we will definitely return regularly.
Bonus: they have dedicated parking right in front of the shop.
