Food is absolutely delicious! And the late hours are great for last minute hangouts with friends.
The only downside is the customer service.
And it is like this every time I go which is every 1 to 2 months. They never greet you, they just stare at you. Very uncomfortable to be in there because they always act like they don’t want to be there. When you are ordering they make it sound like a burden. As someone who works in customer service, I completely understand as I know how exhausting it can be working with the general public but they are just next level bad. It would be different if I was rude or difficult but I just get a generic cookie sandwich. I don’t even get toppings and I always tip. I can’t imagine how they treat rude and difficult customers .

There were only 3 kinds of cookies to choose from. No brownies. I asked for two ice creams and got three. Staff wasn’t welcoming and barely said a word. So I just paid for the three. Kids liked the ice cream, kind of disappointed because we came to try it out and there wasn’t much of a selection. The place is clean and bathrooms were clean but you need a key to get in.

Did a quick Google search for ice cream while visiting Tuscaloosa and saw this place. Looked extremely good from the pictures so we decided to try it. It was not too busy so we didn’t have to wait and the staff was friendly. We both got the cookie sandwich and the portions are definitely shareable in my opinion. Ice cream and cookies were good and I would come again when in town and wanting something sweet.

We’ve all tried a variety of cookies and ice cream – everyone gets different and we all sample each others!) and we have all agreed that the Gooey Butter Cookie is the best cookie and they put pure magic in their vanilla ice cream! You won’t regret a stop here!

Has some of the best ice cream I’ve had in months! We were visiting Tuscaloosa and stopped in at The Baked Bear! My husband had dark chocolate ice cream between two homemade brownies. He was in heaven! I had half dark chocolate and half mud pie ice cream in a cup. So rich, creamy, full of flavor, and delicious! This was a real treat! I took the pictures after eating part of mine and my husband’s was already gone! The serving sizes were generous, which I think they should be considering the price of specialty ice cream. The prices here were reasonable and completely in line with other ice cream shops. Would stop again!

I really wanted to like this place but it was a miss for me. We went in the evening and it was busy, but it may have been too late to get fresh products. I had the bear batter in between two brownies. The brownies had a good flavor and flavored most of the dish. I did not like the texture of the brownies because they were chewy and stuck to my teeth. The ice cream by itself did not have a lot of flavor besides tasting sweet. My husband felt the same about his soy based ice cream. We were glad they had a dairy free option for him even though they were out of the dairy free cookies he wanted. The price did not match the quality of the food unfortunately.
