I recently visited The Bagel Jar as soon as I walked in, I could tell this place was special. The bagels are made with just five simple ingredients, hand-rolled, boiled to create a perfect crust and chew, and then baked until golden brown. The result is a bagel that’s unlike anything else in the area.
I tried a few different options, but my favorite was the Buffalo Bagel, a plain bagel dipped in hot sauce and cheddar cheese. It was unique and absolutely delicious. The bacon, egg, and cheese bagel was also fantastic, as was the bagel and lox. Every bite was fresh and flavorful.
The service was friendly and efficient, even though the entrance and waiting area were a bit crowded. It’s clear that The Bagel Jar is a popular spot, and for good reason. The quality of the food and the welcoming atmosphere make it worth the visit.
Also, the coffee and espresso are way better than you will find anywhere else in Derby or Lake View.
The shop is open from Wednesday to Sunday, 7 AM to 2 PM. It’s located in the Tops Plaza, which is convenient. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area—you won’t be disappointed!

Ordered the bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel and was very happy with it. The bagel was top notch, bacon was crispy and not too greasy, cheese was a good amount and melted nicely, egg was solid. Have to try more on the menu and will be looking forward to it. Was a little on the pricey side for a breakfast sandwich but think it was justified. Was a little tight in the building. Ordering ahead online was easy and

The bagel jar is our new destination for bagels! The service is quick and the bagels are made fresh daily. My family ordered the Tater, Grilled cheese banini, and an egg and sausage bagel. All of these bagels blew our minds and even ordered an assorted 6 bagels and cream cheese to bring home for a later time. The establishment did have some renovating inside but you can’t beat great food, friendly staff, and complimentary water. We live 30 minutes away and it’s well worth the drive. Be careful, it gets busy and we understand why!

Bagel Jar doesn’t miss. Their coffee and speciality drinks are the best around, and the food is not only high quality but clearly made with care. In the very few instances that I’ve had longer wait times or a mix up with my order, staff has been incredibly kind and accommodating. I couldn’t recommend eating here more. Excellent food and drinks, and always great service !

By far the best bagel I’ve ever had. Was planning on getting a couple bagels to take home, but they all looked so good. I ended up getting a dozen to go! The rosemary sea salt was phenomenal. I love all the cream cheese selections also

I ordered my food to go, so I can’t speak directly on the service. However, when I picked up my food, everyone was pleasant.
I got a breakfast sandwich on a bagel and it was great! The bagel was perfectly toasted and I love that you can customize everything you want on it.
I also got the seasonal Coco Caramel Latte iced – I am usually a plain black coffee girly – but was tempted by the option and I’m glad I went with it because it was so good.

We had a wonderful breakfast in the igloo yesterday morning! Everything was set up when I arrived, the bagels were toasting as we got comfortable. The igloo was beautiful inside! I highly recommend this fun experience!

My favorite bagel place out of everywhere I travel. But the last time I was there. I was the first in line waiting. A young male stated that we are busy I can’t take your order you can use the kiosk if you like. The tone was horrible towards me as soon as I got out of line he took everyone else order! I wonder way maybe it was my hair he didn’t like but it made me feel some type of way!
