Really pleasant experience with friendly staff. The atmosphere is super nice. The prices are decent. However the gluten free everything bagel was super dry, hard and dense wouldn’t recommend. The Lawyer was tasty but ask for mayo/horseradish because the sandwich can be a bit dry. Other than that it was fantastic. How cool would it be if they had specialty coffee too?

Absolutely adored the staff and food! Decided on a whim to try and I got The Wyndhurst (Chicken salad with arugula on an everything bagel). It was very very delicious! I definitely think that this place makes a good stop for anyone who’s in the area!

UPDATE 3/23/23…noticed they have egg bagels. I stopped in because that is one of my favorite bagels!! I got the bagel, egg and cheese. Well unfortunately not hitting the spot here. Bagel had a weird after taste. Almost that of cinnamon / metallic…could have been in the process of making it? Inside of bagel was soggy and the bagels are still extremely thin. Will be back to try again. Maybe will go with just bagel with cream cheese and see how that is!

Not only is the Bagel and I the best-tasting bagel place in all of Lynchburg, but they also have the kindest staff. It was my birthday and I came in and they gave me a completely free meal and a coffee. They are so generous and kind all of the time and I choose the Bagel and I for brunch over any other place!

Finally got there before 2 to try out this new brunch spot! It was pretty full at lunchtime and very welcoming cozy seating! Ordered both egg and honey walnut cream cheese bagels. See pic below of very generous helping of Honey walnut cream cheese! Nice actual walnut chunks in it. Whole wheat everything bagel was very fresh, a bit salty but very nice chewy texture! Coffee was quite good very hot though not the strongest but much better than blue ridge. Liked the creamer selection. Would definitely go back to try more menu items. The flowers outside were a nice cheerful touch to greet you!

Looking for a good alternative for morning breakfast (or anything else)? The Bagel & I have outstanding bagels and ingredients. The price is fantastic, especially for what you get. Highly customizable bagels and/or delicious menu options leave one little choice but to try something. Definitely worth a visit, or many.

I was looking for spinach bagels but the cashier said she has never heard of them. I really wanted some. I bought instead some onion bagels and some garlic bagels. They are really big bagels and smell so good. Maybe they can look up a recipe for spinach bagels and make some. The are really delicious. Ukrops used to sell them, but no more.

I enjoyed eating breakfast here. They have a wide variety of bagels and they come with recommendations of spreads and dressing to go with them. Of course, you can also build your own bagel. It was my first visit and I left very impressed at their decor, cleanliness, food, and customer service.
