This review is solely based on the quality of the food received because you go to a restaurant for food, not necessarily service or atmosphere: food was 1 star.

I ordered a gluten free bagel breakfast sandwich. The bagel was simultaneously dense and crumbly. The one nibble I took tasted like salt dough and had the texture of many layers of play-dough. I went back and asked for a refund which was promptly given with many apologies (so 5 stars for service). The restaurant is also very pretty inside so 5 stars for atmosphere.

They said they’ve had lots of issues with their GF recipe and are going to try a new one. If you’re willing to wait for them to experiment and get it right after a while, good for you. That’s if they wind up having it when you come by, as they’ve noted on previous reviews gluten-free is a guessing game, and often when I’ve come by in the past, they have been out of bagels. My experience today shows me that I should have been grateful for that.

In the end, if you’re looking for a good quality, gluten-free bagel, with staff that monitors the prep with celic-safe protocol, Blue Ridge Bagels is the better option. The owner’s mother-in-law has celiac disease so they take their preparation really seriously. Bacon Street is a good second choice. Their bagels are not as good in my opinion, but they’re still edible.

Also, my sausage egg and cheese bagel with added mayo and tomato from Blue Ridge was $8 including tip compared to a bacon, egg, and tomato bagel with avocado from the Bagel and I which was $10+.

If I could eat regular food, this restaurant would probably get four stars, but as it sits right now, GF just ain’t it here.

I’m pretty disappointed with my experience here. I did a mobile order while I was on my lunch break from work and I saw they had a drive thru so I went to go pick up my mobile order and they said I had to pull around and go inside to the bins. I was a little confused since I had never been there before but I didn’t mind. So I pull around and I’m about to get out to go in and one of the employees came out with my food and said in a rude manner that “next time I need to go inside to the bins that are on the side of the conference center”. I said I’ve never been here before so I didn’t know that I had to go inside. (I’m a little confused why they have a drive thru if I have to go inside to get my order which is fine but she didn’t need to be rude about it). But after all that I open my bagel and it is burnt

I love this little place. It’s quiet. The food is good. The atmosphere is nice. They have a little thing called the family room. Very cool.

Sweet, quick and attentive staff. Very kind when I explained I had never been there before. So this place has a unique layout of seating, one section reminds me of red lobster with a bunch of booths, another section has a bunch of couches and gives a warm and cozy vibe. Would be fabulous to sit there in the winter. The bagels are delicious, I had a bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel. It was absolutely delicious, would definitely visit again.

Came in on a Saturday, ordered their GF bagels. Was very disappointed as the bagels were super hard and had a weird taste to them. Seemed like they were old. You shouldn’t even serve bagels like that. As soon as you pick it up and feel how hard they are, just throw them away and tell us you don’t have any. They were basically inedible.

My first visit to this restaurant and never got my food! I ordered my sandwich at 12:07, waited a good 30 min, which I thought was a long time since they weren’t that busy. Meanwhile my friend had gotten hers and she shared half of her meal with me. I asked Miranda and they evidently had made my sandwich but couldn’t find it. She asked 3 different times what my order was and I finally asked for a refund. Not one person said they were sorry or tried to make anything better. I mentioned this to her and she said someone must have taken my sandwich which I never saw since I was watching the front. I said no one has apologized and she sarcastically then apologized. It’s sad some of us have no customer service skills! I don’t think I’ll be recommending Timberlake to anyone or that I’ll be back! Sadly I don’t think you will even care.

I was given an untoasted bagel even after specifying twice that I wanted it toasted. I sent it back and received some attitude, and this was the replacement. Unfortunately, the food hasn’t been warm the past few times I’ve visited. Overall, not a great experience.
I was given an untoasted bagel even after specifying twice that I wanted it toasted. I sent it back and received some attitude, and this was the replacement. Crazy because it’s $5 for a cold bagel lol. Unfortunately, the food hasn’t been warm the past few times I’ve visited.

Awesome bagel shop!!! Food, service and atmosphere are awesome. Cozy nukes, fireplace, very family friendly atmosphere!!! Food is good, their sweet tea is truly just perfect southern sweet tea!!!!!!!! If I had to be picky the only thing I don’t like is that you have to ask for ice vs it being readily available to you at the drink station. Other than that I highly recommend it!!!! This was my second visit and definitely not my last and I will absolutely be putting it on my weekly breakfast list!!!!!

Tried the dine in after church with my daughter and her family. They ordered and my order was # 3 for the day. There bagels were timely and they enjoyed them while I waited. The store became very busy right after we ordered. My simple egg, cheese & sausage on everything and cinnamon toasted bagels never happened. I tried 3 times at the counter to get assistance, the workers seemed very disorganized semi wanting to help. After 45 min total I told them to keep my money and their bagels. What a disastrous visit and first impression.

Don’t use the drive-thru window if you’re looking for takeout – we waited for 20 minutes and ended up leaving empty handed.

We were the only car in drive thru. ordered 3x sandwiches & 1/2 dozen bagels. Dude gave us conflicting bagel availability but we heard him asking so seemed to all be on track. Locked down our order then pulled up to the window to wait. Guy literally said I WILL HAVE YOUR ORDER READY FOR YOU AT THE WINDOW. After 15 minutes of waiting, he finally came to window to say the bagels we ordered for our sandwiches weren’t available and asked for our replacements. Wait, did that mean those same flavored bagels in our bagel order needed to be replaced? Dude had no idea. THEN after a few more minutes, he comes back to say our replacement bagels were not available either – “someone just bought all 12 as they came out of the oven”. What? How is that even possible that this is now easily 20 minutes sitting & waiting for sandwiches that were never even started. Bagels that were never even bagged up for us. Now I’m hangry, annoyed & another car has pulled up behind me. Ridiculous. Friends don’t let friends do The Bagel & I drive thru!
