Ordered one hot chocolate with some Bailey’s and an Irish coffee, which was watery and terrible. The price? $34 We come to Sunriver every year between Christmas cans Mew Years and the resort is beautiful at this time of year, but these prices for terrible cocktails at the cafe and in the Owls Nest are out of control! I should have complained at the time we received the drinks.

Love coming here! There is a season strawberry cocktail that is 10/10. The bartender that works there is great!
Only note is the music they play over the speakers is sooo bad. Weird country music. And some of the language in it seems strange for a family friendly spot.

Been coming here for years. Stopped in to listen to the Friday night music in the yard, July 18, 2025. it was embarrassing how many families were enjoying the roanchy rocky sounds of this band. True kids don’t listen, but it is sad how many families were okay going through the motions of having fun with there kids while listening to lyrics about weed, drinking to pass out, bikinis and weenies, and horrific rock screams, like it was a holesome fun family event. Please do better at picking your bands.. so sad…

I went to the Sunriver Merchant Trader Gift Shop today and the entire time the worker lady was following me and and my family around. It was very uncomfortable. When we were checking out, the lady left to go and see if someone was shoplifting. Then as we were leaving she continued to stare us down and follow us. She made us very comfortable.

Over priced, under quality. A kid’s hotdog that come out cool (my 4 year old commented on that) for $9?!?! No salad option, no vegetarian option other than a $17.50 black beans burger of which I can buy a 4 pack at the country store for $5. Give me a break and get some real options. Only redeeming thing is the view from the patio and the big grassy area for kids to run around while the adults wait on the slowest service on the planet.

The fire pit was inviting, the lights were on, the gal at the inside counter said she didn’t open until 4:30. So we walked upstairs to the Owl’s Nest bar and carried our drinks down to the patio.

Ummm.. This place is not actually open at 9am on Sundays. The gift shop is, but the cafe is not. I went in at 10am and the cafe was closed off, all they had was drip coffee in airpots…. Which would have been fine if that’s what I’d been expecting at all (and there wasn’t better coffee already available in my room….) I’ll try the actual cafe again later and hope for the best

SHOCKINGLY low level of food quality, mixed with extreme overpricing. You can get a better quality sandwich / wrap at 7 Eleven. But you pay 16 dollars + tip for it here.

You’re paying more for atmosphere here than good food. The views are dynamite and the drinks are good. The food was just average.
