I recently enjoyed the sausage gravy with biscuits. The homemade gravy was excellent, characterized by its ideal consistency and superb seasoning. The biscuits were notably fresh and light. The grits offered a delightful smoky flavor, which I surmise was derived from smoked gouda. They were savory and well-seasoned, arriving at a pleasantly warm temperature. The potatoes were generously portioned, also warm, and expertly seasoned. The coffee was served in a substantial cup and was freshly brewed. The service was exceptional, warranting a five-star rating. I am eager to explore the lunch menu in due course. This establishment is certainly worth a visit.

Stopped here on a whim and there were no regrets. The only thing that I would change would be making the sausage gravy a little bit thicker, but the flavor was outstanding.
Our party got the Big Breakfast BLT, Spicy Cow Burrito and Two and A Half- all of them were outstanding. My partner tried the Shark Bait and said it was great, I had the oat milk latte and it hit the spot.
The service was great, the staff were incredibly friendly and the restaurant itself was very spacious and bright. We are already looking forward to returning.

Came in for brunch and it didn’t lack !!! Kids’ menu was impressive and the service was great. Their homemade honey mustard was delicious. Waitresses were friendly, kind and welcoming. We didn’t try their coffee, but their baked goods were DIVINE! Had the sooo nuts, caramel pretzel and and white chocolate pistachio cookies. We wish they had shipping options 🙂

This is absolutely my most favorite restaurant I have ever been to! The staff was amazing and kind, the coffee was perfectly smooth, and the food… the best I have ever had. ESPECIALLY the chicken tender gravy and biscuit meal. I was there about 2 months ago, and ever since I still cannot stop thinking about how tasty it was. Like nothing i’ve ever tried before. 10/10 would most definitely recommend!!!!

We had wonderful experience today! A varied menu difficult to make a choice… so many good meals offered! From a steak salad to grits and shrimp they were all delicious! The service was fantastic! The added bonus was amazing goodies…cinnamon rolls, large variety of cookies and pastries made in house! Reasonable prices! A place to come back to for sure!

Phenomenal… best breakfast I’ve had out since I moved to Delaware 10 years ago. I had Which Came First the Chicken or the Egg. The first bite was soooo delicious. We asked if we could try the grits. You never know with grits when you go out. These grits were the best I’ve had in my life. True Southern grits amazing!!! Atmosphere was relaxed, comfortable, and friendly. Service is excellent, and the coffee is perfect. We will be back.

First time trying out Back Yard and I definitely will be back. Baked goods, coffee, unique but not scary breakfast options. They were more than happy to accommodate my less adventurous father who wasn’t sure he would like pineapple curd on his pancakes. Staff seemed in a good mood and the place is bright, clean, and just all around worth a visit.

Stopped here for some lunch on the way home from Ocean City and, man, was it a the best idea my husband’s had in a while!
The decor was rustic chic, and everything seemed clean and well-placed (my husband couldn’t stop talking about the bathroom “artwork”); our server, Taylor, was very friendly and patient with my kiddos as I experimented with allowing them to order for themselves. I love that they allowed for side salads for the kids’ meals (instead of fries) and had some delicious healthy options. I was seriously jealous when I saw my kids’ chicken tenders but enjoyed my plate nonetheless (the chicken mango salad).
But THAT’S NOT ALL!! We grabbed some baked goods to-go and I really feel like they should’ve been the piece de resistance! Best brownie I’ve ever had!!!! The blueberry scone was absolutely to die for – and the toffee crunch and salty oats cookies were absolutely delectable. I think the bakery is the heart of this lovely little restaurant – so take the time to try it!

Cute little place. The service was fantastic and the food superb. We got crab fries to split as an appetizer. They were fantastic! These put all other crab fries I’ve had in my life to shame. We ate every single fry. I ordered the southern Caesar salad. It came with a huge portion of BBQ pulled pork. It was phenomenal!! I’ll definitely be going there for lunch often.
