We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at The Olive Pit in Stowe, VT. The menu choices included every combination of tacos and burritos. The “pit” bowl burritos and tacos are in a bowl without the tortilla. The flavors are fresh and wonderful! It also sells sodas and beers. The restaurant has 6 tables and take-out service. Service is friendly, helpful, and efficient! Lastly, the Olive Pit’s homemade hot sauce (without preservatives) is very good. I bought a bottle to take home!

This place is a small cozy place with great food. Plenty of good choices on the menu. The tacos are amazing especially the pit taco. The salad as described: Romaine and cabbage blend, beans, roasted corn, pickled onions, cheese, meat or veggie, dressed with our cilantro-lime vinaigrette. OMG amazing. This is a healthy meal. Thank you!!!

Great spot for lunch while enjoying the town. The food is fantastic. Kind of like a chipotle style menu but the food is way better here. We tried a few things on the menu and everything was delicious. I definitely recommend the Pit Bowl with beef…it was very tender and had lots of flavor and great textures with the greens mix. Their queso is also excellent. This also seems to be a family friendly option. They had high chairs available, decent kids menu, as well as a changing table in the bathroom.

Great spot to hit in Stowe.
Nice clean esthetics. The food follows suit. Had a great chicken burrito that weighed like 5 pounds, but after eating almost all of it, I did not have that heavy feeling normally associated with Mexican restaurants.

This is what you get when you order takeout and ask for extra sauce/queso. Called and asked and they said a $5 credit after multiple times of this happening. Overall food is decent. Just know they’re not adding the extra charges to your food.

AMAZING little place in Stowe! Don’t miss it!! 100000000000/10. If we were locals we would eat here weekly! I’m NOT kidding. We had the best tacos. Both the pork and beef. Chips with queso. And elotes. Everything was 10/10. The food was fresh. Made with care. Made with quality ingredients!! Did you know they literally MAKE their own cheese?? And the cherry lime aid SO good.

Delicious, fresh, and cared for! This was a perfect meal for after the mountain. You can tell the staff cares for their customers, as we had a great experience. The food was really amazing and we will surely be back! If you’re looking for a no fuss spot with quality ingredients and good customer service, this is it!

Went through Stowe on our way home to MA today. Stopped into the Avocado Pit and damn, I wish it were closer! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted from Kristi, who was taking the orders at the counter, and she was super friendly, helpful, and funny. The food is amazing as well. I had a chicken burrito and my wife got the pit bowl. Lou, who brought our food up, was super kind and funny. The atmosphere is super laid back and welcoming. We also bought some of their winter beanies, they have great style! I highly recommend stopping at the Avocado pit next time you’re in town!
