First time visitor. Citrus Caprese Salad and #2 Special Pie were excellent. Great spot for food, drink, live music + dancing. Outside is relaxed and family friendly. Kudos to awesome staff.

Great band at 4pm on Sunday. Get here about hour earlier if you want a place at the bar.
Food was good. Sharables and pizza focus. Citrus Caprese board was outstanding.

Why would I come back: The real question is after so many trips to Austin, how have I not been to ABGB? What a great place. Huge community tables inside (booths and bar stools too). Plenty of outside space that has to be amazing on a Austin evening. Great beer, multiple award winner, Rocket 100, plus a terrific Märzen. Creative pizzas and yummy sandwiches, who doesn’t love a great muffaletta? Chill atmosphere this afternoon, but with love music and a full brewhouse, I know it gets crazy here. They give 5% to charity and nonprofit partners, so you’re doing good by drinking beer! PROST!

After looking at reviews, I had to try all the food here.

So we made time to stop for lunch before heading back home.

So glad we did, the place is massive with plenty of seating inside and out.
We ordered our food with the attendant at the bar and he was so helpful with questions and attentive. The drink I got was absolutely delicious!

The food came out at a good time and everything was AMAZING, the food was delicious, fresh and just yummy!

I.am definitely coming back.

All hand crafted beers made in house. Had a muffaletta that was delicious. Apart from the fact that it had olive salad and meats on it tasted like the most flavorful Cuban sandwich I have ever tasted. Looks like they have bands too.
If you like beer a must do!

Hell yeah! One of the most awarded and tenured among modern Austin breweries, and still going strong. Enjoyed collaborations with other breweries, generally focusing on lagers. Pizza was also huge and eat for the family. We all enjoyed the welcoming, diverse environment and graffiti art.

Just missed the live music, however the music and atmosphere was good to head bop to. Nice little watering hole to hang out with friends. We got a Calabrese pizza which was a bar pizza, good at the time. Nothing to write home about. However I do appreciate the fact you can order just a slice if you want, and I did get a slice of the wagyu and it was like a cheeseburger pizza. The beers and ciders were pretty good. Would come back next time we are in Austin.

Really solid beer bar. I’ve tried 3-4 and have liked them. Good prices. Pizza isn’t special, but it’s perfectly fine then crust and only $5/slice.

Outside area is great. Tons of tables. Huge live oak for shade.

Recommended.

During our day trip from San Antonio to Austin, we decided we needed a snack and a drink. We’d never tried a brewery and other ratings have brought us here. I can’t say too much about their actual entrées since my wife and I had two Caesar salads and the pesto bread, but if their pizzas are as good as our sides and salads, I would 100% recommend this place.

If you’re not much of a beer drinker (like my wife), ask the bartender for a recommendation and order a flight. They’re a bit pricier than the rest of our order but worth it. You’ll try five different beers, and like her, you’re bound to find something you like.

One tip I have for future visitors: You’ll need to select a table/place to sit, order at the bar, then sit and wait for your order. If you’re greater than a party of 1, have your guest save your table.

My wife and I both went up, and when we provided the bartender with our table number, we looked back and found it had been taken by another group. It wasn’t a big deal since other spaces were open, and we were able to change it. I just can’t say You’ll have the same luck on busy days.

Regardless, Austin Beer Garden is now a regular stop for us!
