Food was outstanding, steaks cooked to perfection and the onion rings were so crunchy and tasty, they were great. Steak comes with a sauce, just made it last, but could do with a little bit more.
Rack of lamb was perfectly cooked as well & came with dauphinoise potatoes!! Why aren’t these a side to go with the streaks, would be a great combo.
Wine was recommended by the waiter, was smooth and very tasty.
Great atmosphere, although did get a little noisy towards the end of our visit.
Overall though a great meal out.
The staff are so friendly, attentive but not excessive. Overall we really love the ashville.
It was a shame there were no candles or flowers or any sort of romantic atmosphere for Valentine’s Day but we were happy with the food.
Additionally, we would have liked to tip our waiter but it was cash tips only and unfortunately we had no cash! We would have happily added an amount on our bill to tip had this been an option!
Would like to try the steaks next time round.
Service was brilliant, attentive while also providing a nice and steady flow of drinks and ordering time and food delivery time.
The pricing was very reasonable for Bristol and the quality provided, would I say this is the best steak in Bristol no, but would I say it’s the best value for the quality delivered, potentially.
The food however was brilliant, coming in cheaper than the other well known steak restaurants in Bristol, it is no thrills in terms of presentation and fancy supporting dishes, but the main even being the steak was great, very well cooked, very good quality cuts, and they do a variety of sizes, just be sure to order in advance.
All three of us ordered the mix roast with the beef, pork and lamb and its one of the best roast I’ve had in Bristol. We shared some cauliflower cheese and some pigs in a blanket which really complimented the roast and something we would suggest too. We also had a really fresh biscoff cheesecake for dessert so the texture and taste was phenomenal!
Will be recommending this place to others!
Back in the day the burgers were always a highlight, the flavour lives firmly in my mind Pleased to report nothing has changed on that front! The 3 meat combo of brisket, rump and rib eye in the patty definitely makes for one of Bristol’s best burgers
Then it would have been criminal not to have steak. 10oz I believe is bigger than the standard serving for a fillet at many other venues, so good value, and yes it’s the most overused phrase ever but it was cooked to perfection. The chips are exceptional – impress even my seriously fussy husband who moans that most places don’t cut their own potatoes.
Onion rings the size of your hand. Mac n cheese to die for. I could go on. We will not be leaving it that long until our next visit
Food was piping hot and service prompt and always looking after us.
Definitely coming again
My family and visited your restaurant on the 4th at the Prince of wales. I just wanted to say thank you as it was my birthday and we were definitely not disappointed.
The staff were amazing, Helpful, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. I am particularly fussy but our waitress listened and as a result my meal was perfect, with an extra birthday bonus thrown in as well.
Please acknowledge your staff and thank them.
Highly recommended to friends and family already.
Regards
Andy
