We stopped here on our way from Georgia to Mississippi and when I saw reviews I knew we had to try this place. We started with fried pickles which were delicious. I got the fried shrimp lunch special and had 5 HUGE jumbo shrimp that were cooked to perfection, no sauce needed but if you like sauce their remoulade was delicious. My husband got the shrimp and catfish platter with a side on onion rings and beans. Trust me, we’ll get shrimp and onion rings every time we go back but everything was so good!

This place is awesome! We stopped here on our way to Savannah Georgia. The food was amazing. The staff was friendly and can tell they take pride in this place. If you’re looking for a place to eat when you are close to Talladega super Speedway take this place out.

What a wonderful place! The fried shrimp was amazing, catfish and hush puppies were great, even the fries are delicious. Every staff member we met was so welcoming and thanked us for being there.

If you are traveling on I-20 between Birmingham and Atlanta, near Logan Martin Lake, you need to stop and eat at The Ark. The people are great, and our waitress, Jennifer, is the best. Great service and delicious food.
I enjoyed the catfish and shrimp platter. The catfish was a nice sized filet, flakey, and delicious. The shrimp were big, breaded and fried to perfect. So good. The seasoned greens were excellent. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her shrimp platter with Lima beans and coleslaw. The hushpuppies were good, and they make their own dipping sauce.
We enjoyed our dinner and our time at the restaurant. They were established in 1930, so you know they have to be good to still be on business 95 years later. Give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

Tried some new stuff like Catfish and fried oysters. Also had deviled crab, frog legs, Cajun fries, Shrimp, corn nuggets and hush puppies. All delicious, but the corn nuggets and hush puppies really delicious. Prices and quality on spot. Definitely worth a visit.

We’ve been to the Ark several times, and the food and service are excellent! Dana, the Manager, is absolutely amazing, and very accommodating to everyone’s needs! Especially with our rowdy bunch! Thanks for such a great place to relax and enjoy a wonderful dinner! ♥️

Everything was great. First off we got a recommendation from a gentleman doing some work for us. We called ahead to confirm they could accommodate a party of 8 including the baby. Straight forward process, had a small wait time, nothing major at all. Our server did an excellent job,kept our drinks full made good small talk. I don’t drink sodas but my son do and I like how they served those with a cup of ice and a regular 20oz bottle instead of the machine. Even tho they were short staffed and full they still took care of all their patrons. All of the food was delicious by the way.

Delicious fried catfish and popcorn shrimp. Their hush puppies have a unique shape and are excellent alongside their family ketchup recipe. Their cheesecake is homemade and really great. The waitstaff and manager were all very friendly and welcoming. I will be back!
