We waited so long for our food to be not only burnt but cold. It happened once about a month ago, waitress forgot to put our order in. Sure, it happens. No worries. Took some off of our bill. We thought eh, we’ll give it one more try. Bad idea. Waited just as long for some of the worst food I’ve been served. This time we actually said something to the owner and nothing. The lovely waitress offered a round of free shots. But we just wanted to leave, didn’t want to drink any more on an empty stomach because we sure weren’t eating that food. (Who doesn’t put cheese on nachos?) Definitely won’t be coming back.

First of all the staff here is awesome! Everyone my husband and I have met from the owner (shoutout Matt), bartenders, and the head chef have been so friendly and just great people to talk to. We always feel taken care of here just excellent service!

On to the food, it is simply incredible! I didn’t believe the Mac and cheese could be so good and gluten free l, literally blew me away! And the brisket was melt in your mouth tender and super flavorful. I’m new to this spot and can’t wait to try something new everytime I go I here. I know gluten free food might scare a lot of people away but trust me the chef here is a real one and the food isn’t “good for gluten free” it’s just great food that doesn’t need shortcut wheat thickeners.

Hey now! This place has reopened under new management and you gotta give it a go! They have LEGIT barbecue smoked in house including brisket, hot links, pulled pork. The brisket melts in your mouth, so good!

I’m so happy to have good bbq in north seattle again 🙂 Other menu items are great too. Hook a brother up.

TVs everywhere, game is on, hockey jerseys around and other sports on for your viewing. Help em get the crowd going, you won’t be disappointed.

I wish this place had reliable hours. I came here a while ago and the food was awesome. Have tried to come back twice since then, well within hours of operation and hours before the place closed. Both times the place was closing early for seemingly no reason at all. One time I showed up, probably 10+ people still inside and the door was locked two hours before close. The bartender came up and said they were done for the night through the glass. I wouldn’t get excited about going here unless you know for certain they’re open. Hard to know when the kitchen is ever really making food. Would recommend calling ahead cause it’s clear the hours on here aren’t accurate.

Freaking awesome sports bar that’s been a staple of Greenwood for ages. Every time I go in there I feel super welcomed and accommodated. Owner and servers are all friendly and make you feel at home. Sports games you wanna watch are always on and they will flip the stations on a tv if there’s something particular you want to watch. Their brisket or pulled pork nachos are exquisite. Best Kraken bar there is.

An absolutely gem for delicious BBQ and bar foods safe for people with celiac disease. Might even be better than the likes of Ghost Fish in some regards, at a location with reasonable street parking, and that doesn’t require you to go downtown.

I’ve been to the angry beaver several times since it’s in my hood but haven’t really ate there. I had to do a review! I went for a birthday party and they ordered a bunch of food. Drinks are spot on and affordable not overly priced and decent pours. The food is great bar food. The fish and chips were so huge and so good! The 1 pound could feed four people I couldn’t even believe it. I think it was $20. I love fish and chips and this is the place to go for the value for sure. The poutine and cheese curds were great too! The servers were super nice as well for a busy hockey night at the bar. Massive screens to watch all the games. Dog friendly too!

My husband had the cowboy burger and enjoyed it. I had the Fish n chips for 22 dollars. The only ok thing about this plate was the fries. The fish batter was not cooked it was gross. McDonald’s does better than this. I did not pay for the fish. I took a bite of each Piece of fish just to be fair let my husband try a bite. I don’t like to complain but it was so gross. We paid for the fries and we tipped the server 10.00 for her understanding. But I won’t be back. Now I’m home and sitting on the toilet processing the 3 bites of fish that my body is totally Rejecting. The atmosphere is cool and drinks are good I’m sure. Just don’t get the fish n chips is my advise

Angry Beaver feels like a place that has given up on even trying. The bartender wasn’t so much rude as he was utterly disinterested in taking our orders, preferring to chat with his friends instead, and half the food menu had been blacked out as it was, as he put it, ‘in a state of transition’.

As for the poutine, this bar’s main calling card? It came out as a lukewarm plate of fries topped with only the barest scatterings of gravy and cheese curds. Any Canadian would’ve been right offended, that’s how little effort had been put into it.

One could see how Angry Beaver might’ve once been quirky and charming. What we experienced was just sad.

This is a pretty good place. You can not mistake it for anything other than a hockey bar. And that is a great thing. There is lots of seating and TV all around the bar. So no matter where you sit you can watch the hockey game. They have a full bar and a good selection of beer on tap and bottles and cans. If you are going to eat there you have to try the poutine. You can have it several different ways. I had. Burger and hand cut fries and they we’re good. A very solid burger. My wife had fish and chips and they we’re very good. Being in Greenwood park is on the street or there is pay parking behind the building. The only drawback to this visit was there were several flies swarming in the sun. Other than that I think this is a good sports bar and a lot of fun for hockey night.
