First, make sure to get a reservation. It’s a small building so there not a lot of booths if you are going with more than 2 people (plenty of bar seating thought) as it fills up quick for dinner. Second, they have one of the best fish and chips baskets I’ve had. I am not a fish eater and I usually need lots tartar sauce to eat fried fish, but I could eat this fish all by itself. I order a side of their curry and gravy. Both good, but the gravy is definitely better. If you prefer a quieter setting, make sure to sit outside (max is 6 total people outdoors) as it’s a bit noise indoors for conversation. All in all, great service and fish!

First time at Anchor and a nice experience. Arrived a little after 5 pm and found a prime parking spot on the street right across from the restaurant. Wasn’t busy at the time so we were seated right away at a high top next to the window that overlooked their little patio seating area. Service was excellent as our waitress took the order within five minutes after sitting down. Both of us had their fish fillet and fries. Fillet was deep fried, meaty and large, estimating at least eight inches in length. Tartar sauce provided for dipping and actually the fish had enough taste to avoid using it. Fries were thick and had almost a slight sweet potato taste. Overall I would rate it very highly for an actual fish and chips meal. One question is if it got busier where would you park? Got lucky since we came earlier in the evening. Might be walking a bit because I didn’t see any off street parking. In addition if you are handicapped the main door looks reasonably small and not sure if you can pass through without problems. Good first impression at Anchor.and hope to stop in again real soon

Great experience! Came here for the first time yesterday and was very content with my experience. The restaurant itself is fairly small however it’s pretty cozy inside. I ordered the fish and chip with the blueberry cider. The food came out relatively quick. It was hot and delicious. The cider was reallly good as well. Probably the best I’ve had.

We had the Fish and Chips at the Anoka Food Trauck Festival recently. Cod fillet is exceptionally large and very fresh. Batter was well seasoned and crispy. Just a bit oily. Thought the Chips could definitely been crispier. Still well worth it for a delicious piece of fish!

Great hand battered fish and chips! Second time there but I will be back. We love malt vinegar but unfortunately they only have white vinegar. No worries we brought our own!

Love the food! The place is unassuming and not gimmicky. Be sure to try the specials. I got the fish cake, and my partner had their classic fish and chips.

First time going here. Super cool restaurant and the waitstaff was great. I tried the shepherd’s pie that my daughter ordered and it was awesome. Unfortunately, the fish & chips I had was probably the worst I’ve ever had. The fish was literally rubber. Tough to cut through and really chewy. I only got through about half of it. Other than that the place was great. I think I’ll try a different dish next time.

Simply the best fish chips in the metro. This place is so good that i regularly make the 40-minute drive from my home to get their fish. It’s that good.

The greatest F&P shop on this side of the pond! Wot!? They’re fantastic every time! The staff is excellent and they treated my guys and I like royalty, which is nice as we aspire to be. In all seriousness, this place is absolutely amazing and they go above and beyond the fried fish experience. The menu is amazing and the food is delicious!
