If you haven’t been to The Amsterdam Local yet, let this be your sign to GO. I finally tried their famous Stroopwafel coffee and oh. my. goodness. It is pure heaven in a cup. ☕️
It’s the perfect mix of cozy, sweet, and rich without being over the top…literally tastes like someone melted a stroopwafel into the most delicious latte ever. I was genuinely sad when I got to the last sip. The vibe inside is so cute and welcoming too, and the staff was incredibly kind.
10/10 recommend. Treat yourself and get the Stroopwafel coffee, you can thank me later.

So many reasons to go! The food was great (I had the Euro Plate and added the Scottish smoked salmon – excellent). There was also a selection of seasonal beverages (tea, coffees, cold brew).
The atmosphere is relaxed, with two different areas to sit. In good weather, there is also seating outside. Parking is available.
There is also a small shopping area where you can purchase local goods, ceramics, tea, souvenirs etc. Located in the downtown area, it is easy to walk and see the beautiful buildings in and around town. Highly recommend!

I love exploring coffee shops, and knowing that this place is not far from where I live, I can’t wait to come back! This is my first time here and I Ordered a BYOs sandwich and one of their matcha drinks and I’m In Love! Everyone in there is so nice! And the atmosphere feels really comfortable. They even sell a lot of products from local vendors which is great! I also love seeing how they make all the food there, so you know it’s not something that’s just previously frozen like Starbucks.

This is an adorably decorated place. It could be cozy and a great go to however you would have to hope to find a spot not taken by a college student on a computer nursing a drink while camping out for a couple hours. And they don’t just sit together they take up a whole table. Maybe designate a “computer table” for them??? Anyway, drinks are good and the foiod is pretty good too, it’s just very pricey ($9 for a pumpkin croissant). My 2nd visit my hubby & I ordered a charcuterie to go as well as lunch. The charcuterie was 2 meats, 3 cheeses,10 blueberries, 4 orange slices, a tablespoon of jam and a boat load of crackers that got stale from being packaged with the meat & cheese that had to be kept cold. This for $25 felt like a waste of money. So won’t do the charcuterie again. Too bad, we like a good one and would have been back for it. Finally, there technically is only street parking. That parking lot right in front belongs to the apt building & you could get towed if you park there. When the owner is there the staff are very attentive I’ve noticed. When she leaves …well different story. One girl was banging the metal milk frothing cup on the counter right behind where i sat while she waited for the other girl to finish using the machine. In surprise i turned and kind of joked with her “I’m awake now. Thanks.” She just kind of looked at me obviously. So mixed emotions about this place.

The Amsterdam was a fun new coffee shop to me. The hot chai latte was very tasty although i would have liked the temperature to actually be hot and not only warm. The girls making the drinks were nice. The atmosphere was fun. It was decorated cute. My complaints had to do with the seating. It was full in the main room, so we had to sit at a table by the door and never ending opening and closing and it was cold outside. Our other option was a couch and chair across a table that sat too low to really visit with my friend. I would go back, but avoid the outer room seating.

My wife & I like the Iced Coffee, very strong coffee but that’s what we love about it. Food was very appealing and tastes great. It’s a very chill and relaxing atmosphere. Great for dates and get aways.
