Me and my boyfriend didnt sit specifically in this part since they looked closed, but the waffle area is connected so we were still able to enjoy the food made here. I dont know if it was because I didnt eat since I was traveling but the food was absolutely delicious. I stay at a different hotel but the people here were very kind. Definitely recommended if your passing by or staying here.

Nice family atmosphere. Good food & portion sizes. Forgot to show my room key for 10% off ♀️. Kinda bummed they didn’t ask. But it was late. We closed the place down. Pasole soup, shredded beef tacos, chile verde burrito & ranchero burrito for the fam. All tasty. Plus a margarita on the rocks. Drink seemed a little spendy but that’s vacation prices for ya.

The service was great, everyone was very kind and attentive. We did Come a little later, like 730pm so it wasn’t very busy.
The dinner was great though, awesome portions and did not take away from the flavor. I got the fish and chips and they were good! My partner got the California burrito and literally cleaned his dish!

I just wanted to try the spot because we ate at the waffle spot which that one was OK, but I should’ve left as soon as I knew that there was only one person working at the bar going back-and-forth through the kitchen, I waited like more than 30 minutes for my drink for a margarita that just tasted like a lollipop Plus I ask for on the rocks and he give me frozen one omg and the bartender waiter. They didn’t even offer me a water until I asked for it and the food was terrible like the chicken tasted like box chicken from Walmart and then enchiladas taste it just oh my God I don’t even wanna. Mention it never will return here again I didn’t even finish my margarita. I just left it. It’s a Friday. I wanted to like a good drink. Good food. and just to be nice I give him like $11 tip that was too much for the food. I usually tip good everywhere I go.

If I could give 10 stars for service I would. The bartender with the dark hair was so friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and he pulled double duty as bartender (drinks were delicious) and as our waiter/server. Recommend this place, and if he’s working that night youre in for a great experience.

Nice restaurant in a very much uninteresting part of town. Mexican food, Mexican drinks, and very friendly Mexican staff. Nice menu with many options. Food is ready within 5 minutes from ordering which gives the impression it has been heated up. Tastes good though. Prices also very acceptable. Overall good experience.

Food is pretty good, my opinion a little better than the places in Old Town and closer if around Crust.
Great little bar too, standard drinks and beer.
If you’re looking for a good Taco Tuesday bar or just need dinner on a stay in town definitely check it out.

We were exited to try this spot after seeing pictures and reviews. I ordered a margarita and it was the worst I’ve had in my lifetime. It didn’t taste like there was ANY alcohol and I think it’s an accurate assumption. If you’ve ever had a Skinny Girl Margarita you know they are gross and taste like limeaid. Ew.
Onto the dinners. One fish and steam vegetables the other chicken tacos. Steamed vegetables were undercooked, raw, and hard. My traveling companion left them on the side. Fish was good.
My chicken tacos were anticlimactic. Dark shredded chick with cheese only. No flavoring, seasoning, sauce, or limes. Just a flavorless dark chicken with a pile of cheese. I left my 2nd taco because it wasn’t worth the calories. My side of rice was good and edible.
Service was not good. We asked for a check and our waiter was chatting up another table, running plates before he came back and had forgotten we even asked for the check. We easily waited 15 minutes from the time we asked for the check to the 2nd time we asked for it. Also, when you have that much food left on your plates and a drink 3/4 full you should inquire about to because clearly something is off.
There are so many amazing Mexican restaurants in the area unfortunately this one isn’t one. All of the places we’ve eaten at while in San Diego were phenomenal except here. Best bet is just go to Old Town if you want Mexican food. This place is not worth the money.
