Dylan referred us here. Yummy! I am not found wanting. Taylor was such a delight. Food was so darn good. Those cheese curds y’all.

My husband, daughter and I made our first trip to try American Table. We love the historic vibe of both restaurants in the space. However, the lower level P.O. Box is more consistent with the theme of the former post office that occupied the building at one time. The American Table has an open high ceiling and the dark blue walls and sparkling light fixtures are gorgeous. However, we didn’t understand the mounted animal heads on the walls. The concept was kind of all over the place. With that said, the service was great and the food came out quickly and hot. I had the lamb shank on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes. It was spectacular and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys lamb. Super tender. My husband got the pulled pork Mac and cheese. He said it was very good and the portion was very large. My daughter got the ribeye, the only disappointment in our food. It was $34 and was thin, overcooked and had a charred/bitter taste. My husband and I also tasted it and it was off-putting. The cheese curds were some of the best we have ever had and we would make a special trip just to eat those. My husband ordered a Jack Daniel’s on the rocks and it was served over crushed ice versus a large single cube. We will definitely return now that we know what to expect.

The cheese curds were some of the best I’ve ever had! They were light and melted in your mouth. The chorizo shrimp burger was also fantastic. The place has a cool aesthetic with the post office theme. The basement is the main restaurant space so enter down the stairs on the side of the building. Our food came out super quick! The only downside is the service was a little lacking with our waitress also being the main bartender. The food is definitely worth it. Seems like the place is pretty new, so maybe they will iron out the kinks with time.

Came through down on business. Had a long lunch and found this place. Our whole table had VERY quick service. Food was well prepared and lived up to the recommendations from the waitress. Others had a (killer!) , fried chicken (good), and a shrimp & chorizo burger (killer!).
The atmosphere if great. It’s an old USPS building that they turned into a great restaurant. Sounds like they are working to have a party/meeting room open soon!!
A must to to come for lunch.

We celebrated my mother’s 85th birthday in the upstairs dining. We had a room to ourselves and the staff was attentive and gracious. The owners went out of their way to prepare and accommodate our party of 20 on very short notice. I highly recommend the restaurant and look forward to dining with them the next time I’m in town. Thank you for a wonderful meal and experience!

We just got a carry out order. Quesadilla’s were good. Thia burger was amazing & loaded brew FF very good. Def will be back. Only issue is finding info of hours/menu/number. One place says open 11-8 everyday but then another spot said open only 10:30 – 4 on Sunday’s. Welcome to town

The entrance to the PO Box is on the north side of the building down a half flight of stairs. Yes, the fried cheese is the best ever. Seriously. Ever. The food is great!! American Table is on the main floor and is more of a steakhouse. Event space is on the top floor.

We stopped for a light lunch and to visit. This place was phenomenal! The bar is in the basement where the brick walls have been restored absolutely beautifully. The background music was at the right setting so you could have a conversation and hear everyone who was talking in that conversation. The service was great, very attentive but not hovering. The cheese curds are amazing! The boneless wings were sauced but not drenched, just the right amount. And the ranch dressing is spot on for dipping! It’s not a cheap vinegary flavor. While asking about the fabulous blue paint, we were offered a tour by the owners. You thought you came to drink & eat but the history and the time put into the restoration is as good as the food! Above the bar is dining and private party areas! Sooo beautiful! Will definitely have to make the 2 hour trip back!

The Avocado Burger with fried egg was fantastic… If it wasn’t so huge my taste buds may have convinced me to have 2! The fries have a beer battered look and we’re excellent. my wife raved just as much about her tenderloin, which was quite large. I loved it so much I didn’t get a before picture. 🙂 Staff was attentive and friendly. My only issue was the decaf coffee was a bit rough, but I didn’t complain because good decaf is hard to find, especially at restaurants, because it’s not a big seller. We will definitely be back for more!

I was passing through town and stopped here after seeing the sign on the corner and am I glad I did. I’ve been an Iowa transplant since 2019 and travel the state quite frequently for work. This hands down is within the top 3 places I have eaten since I moved here. Food was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the vibe is awesome! Service was top notch! Highly recommend and can’t wait to stop here again!
