Lonnie’s Reno club truly deserves a visit. The performance was nothing short of amazing! He is a remarkable artist who beautifully weaves together the roots of jazz, creating an experience that lingers in the heart. His band is exceptional, filled with some of the most talented musicians I’ve ever had the privilege to see live. Thank you, Lonnie, for sharing your gift with us; it means so much.

I was really looking forward to dining at The American Reserve, but unfortunately the experience didn’t live up to the expectations. The service was extremely slow and inattentive, which set the tone for the evening.

The food itself had potential — the flavors were good — but everything arrived lukewarm instead of hot, which took away from what could have been a great meal. The desserts were also disappointing; they tasted like they had been sitting out far too long and weren’t fresh.

Overall, the restaurant seems like it could be excellent, but based on this visit, the execution just wasn’t there.

Party of 10! Perfect table set up. All of us could communicate and appreciate each other’s company. Part of our party was delayed. Our server could not have been more accommodating. Food was perfect. I had the filet .. outstanding. Everyone loved their food. Atmosphere was special!

We couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate my mom’s 63rd birthday. Kitty our waitress was unbelievable exceptional 10/10 I hope our appreciation showed in her tip. Thank you kitty again. We arrived and were greeted by absolutely beautiful decor and live soft music. we were seated right away. We did have reservations. Our drinks came out first our appetizers about 10min later. And the portion sizes are perfect, (bigger then usual) reserve has michelin star worthy food and aura but bar and grill prices. We were so very impressed everything was absolutely delicious we ordered the crispy brussel sprouts and lump crab cake for our appetizers. The KC strip, the citrus black cod, and the baked chicken for our meal. It’s definitely upscale perfect for just drinks or a date. I look forward to returning.

Go see Gage at the bar! Great before /after an event at T-Mobile. The live music on Saturday was an added bonus!

Tuna tataki tacos = flavor bomb and that French onion soup totally hit the spot. A little splurgey, but so worth it while chillin’ at The Ambassador and hitting up The American Reserve before the Hardy concert.

This restaurant is in The Ambassador Hotel in downtown Kansas City, MO. This is not your average “hotel restaurant” rather is a seriously elevated hotel dining experience!

I came here several times during my 4 night stay, to enjoy wine at the bar, to enjoy a couple of amazing breakfasts, to enjoy dinner one evening, and to enjoy dessert on a different evening. The service by everyone I encountered was spot-on and very friendly. The venue is dimly lit and beautifully decorated, sort of art deco’ish. Their menus are great, lots of appetizing and eye-catching dishes on them!

For breakfast, their American Reserve Breakfast is a knockout! The 6 grain toast is incredible!! They perfectly toast it on the flat top and then offer it up with some butter, which just really makes it taste even better! But those breakfast potatoes are insanely good! Probably the best breakfast potatoes I’ve had!! Soft, very flavorful, and slightly zesty and I love how they incorporate the diced onions and peppers in it, along with the seasoning. Eggs were always cooked just right!

For dinner one evening I opted for soup and salad… both were made with very fresh ingredients and their house made smoked tomato vinaigrette was excellent. Their tomato bisque was very tasty! Save room for dessert, they make a great Crème Brûlée!

They do offer a very nice wine and cocktail list as well. Definitely check ahead or make reservations. While I was there, they were completely packed over the weekend, but not so busy on the weeknights – Better safe than sorry. Highly recommend stopping in!!

We went to this place for Christmas dinner as we got stuck in KC due to flight delays. This place seemed like an upscale scene that would be great for a dinner setting. We got there and the hotel (Ambassador) didn’t disappoint with its curb appeal and entrance. The reassurance was super nice inside and presentable. The scene definitely wasn’t upscale but rather a bit laid back. The menu was at best a glorified bar food menu. The prices were attached to the upscale part of the façade.

The food was delicious and the portions were great. The prices were high ($25 for a Ruben, $20 for a French dip, $12 for Caesar salads) but we didn’t mind because the food was good. The winter mule was a good choice on drink but again, $16 for a drink was a bit steep.

Our waitress (Kendra) was excellent and did a great job serving us while they were short staffed there.

All in all this place was fantastic, I was just thrown off by the fancy outside and look and the laid back vibes, crowd, and staff.

We had dinner for special occasion and found this place online. The ambient of this restaurant was nice and quiet. Classy touch of the interior decor located inside of a hotel building in downtown. Ordered Shrimp and Grits & Double cut Pork Chop with four cheese Campanella. The pork chop was little under cook so our waitress helped us to bring it back to kitchen. Later we realized we were missing the cheese baked Campanella so our waitress reminded the kitchen for us. She was very attentive and friendly so we were grateful for the service she provided that evening. We also appreciate of her took the meals out of our bill due to minor mishaps of the food prep.

Fun atmosphere and great music for a romantic date night! 2 of the 4 cocktails we ordered were good! The other two were a meh and a miss and not worth the cost.
Avoid the dijon salmon and plan for a full evening because the service and drinks are slow.
The live music by Ron saved the date night though!
