Cozy yet open atmosphere with lots of fun decor. Several alcohol-free options on the menu to choose from, all of which were thoughtfully explained by the bartender. As a sober person who still wants to engage in social activities, I appreciate when establishments have a fair offering of non-alcoholic choices and are just as attentive to the sober customers as they are to the ones drinking alcohol.

This is a very welcoming beer lover’s heaven. They always have 30 or so widely varied and quality beers on tap and bartenders are on top of everything with speed. They very frequently have music in the vestibule in front of the bar too with much outdoor seating and tables for relaxing enjoyment.

My favorite outdoor venue for live music in Pinellas County. Great bands, cool owner, good bartenders…prices are reasonable, and they have a Happy Hour during the week (I think) from 4-6pm where beers are cheaper. Blue (Witch) grass Wednesday…live music every weekend. I’ve seen about 100 shows there over the years. You won’t be disappointed. 🙂

Super welcoming environment. Stumbled across this establishment when we heard some live music playing – very fun. The bartenders were very nice!

Wide selection of beers from all the local brewing companies. Priced at 7-5 dollars a pint. Good live music with some good local bands. If you want drink and relax at the same time this place is it.

Best bar in Downtown St Pete! The 32 taps (ALL AMERICAN) are usually rare and unbelievably delicious. The courtyard is very private and large with great music on the weekends. They also have a great run club on Monday Nights. 😉

Sangria is yummy. Glad there’s a place for the local musicians in the courtyard to play. Great acoustics and the owner is a gem. Greatest hidden secret concert venue

This place always has a terrific beer menu and is a spacious place to gather with friends. The bar tenders are friendly and fast. The live music is enjoyable. My only mild complaint is that when the music is inside there is no place to dance. The patio however, is another story.

I absolutely love LOVE the Ale and the Witch. Beyond the amazing beer selection, the community atmosphere, often with live music, keeps me coming back for more. This place is the St. Pete Cheers bar for sure! Brett does an amazing job at creating a friendly, welcoming space to gather. Highly recommend.
