We stopped by The Airplane Restaurant and had a great overall experience. There’s plenty of seating, whether you want to eat inside the main building or inside the actual airplane, which makes it a really fun and unique spot.
I took my kids up into the plane, and they loved it. I got some pictures of them in the cockpit. There are cool photos, aviation memorabilia, and interesting items covering the walls that make it feel like a mini museum.
The food was delicious. I ordered the BBQ Bomber Burger and it definitely delivered on flavor. Our server, Tina, was super friendly and attentive, which made the visit even better. That said, a couple of the other staff members, including the person who seated us, seemed like they didn’t really want to be there, which stood out compared to the great service we got from Tina.
Prices are a little on the higher side, but not unreasonable for the experience and portion sizes. Overall, it’s a fun, memorable place to eat and worth checking out if you’re in the Colorado Springs area.

We came across this place while visiting the National Museum of World War II Aviation in Colorado Springs. We decided to check it out and boy!…..we were very impressed with it! We got a table on the airplane and it was an amazing and unique experience. Waitresses with their aircraft uniforms. This is a real airplane that was turned into a restaurant. From the moment you enter this restaurant, you really feel like you’re completely immersed in it. The food was good, the prices are reasonable and for the experience, it’s definitely worth a try! I’d highly recommend this place and I’d love to comeback in the future!

Cool experience. I didn’t expect it to be kind of like a museum. Got to eat inside the plane. Good burgers. Really enjoyed the food. The French fries were fantastic. They have Cholula hot sauce you just ask for it.

The food and staff members were great! My husband ordered the Guacamole Burger and I got a Medium-Rare Top Sirloin with Broccoli. They tasted really good!
However, I do not like how they provide the straws out of their wrapping and putting the straws in our drinks themselves using their bare hands. That is the only part of the dining experience I did not like. Felt a bit unsanitary.
Dining inside of the plane was a quaint experience, but not quite the expectation I had. But, still cute nonetheless.

Cool place to experience. Food was good. We got fish and chips, fish sandwich NY steak and Philly cheese steak. All were tasty. We sat inside the airplane, but the dining room is super cute and cozy too, with 2 fireplaces that I noticed.

Pros: if you have a person who loves planes, then this is the spot to go! Lots of plane memorabilia, life sized items,and the obvious plane you can eat in. You can also eat in the regular restaurant if you are easily claustrophobic or just need more room. The menu has a great selection, the desserts were good, and service was great. The kids menu was fabulous!
Cons: the booths in the plane are close together so if you go while it’s busy, you may hear others conversations. I read another comment about it being dated but I wouldn’t consider that a con. I love the small town feel and it’s places like these that make it an experience and just not eating food and rushing out. Probably the only other con was it’s out of the way, but we drove two hours and enjoyed every second!

Very unique restaurant indeed. Fantastic, helpful aircrew and a great stop to peruse some aviation history. Set upstairs in the aircraft fuselage for a truly emersive experience!

Super cool place to visit with your family. You can either eat in the building which has a lot of cool airplane memorabilia to look at or eat in an actual old school Boeing airplane thats been converter to have booths & tables! They even preserved the cockpit. I had a special of steak & shrimp & it was very good! They know how to make a medium rare steak for sure.

Went on a Friday night, there was a wait but it was worth it. We got seated in the plane my daughter was excited. The host does a mini tour and explain about the place. They really do lean into the airport theme. We started off with the say cheese sticks, very good. Then we got cheeseburger with “fries”. They are not your normal fries, thicker then chips, almost like a thin potato skin. Very good and a unique spin. I got the baked spaghetti very good and loaded with peppers, onions and sausage.
If you have time this is a great spot.

Very good food. They have the best fries I’ve ever had. We had such a great experience that we went twice on our vacation- once in the plane and once in the lobby. Would not recommend sitting in the plane with babies… there is not enough room in the aisles for a high chair. Kids can still go play in the cockpit if you’re seated in the main lobby. Waitresses were attentive and the owner was present and greeting people. Very kid friendly.
