Been coming here for years. The food is one of the best in Houston. My favorites are the qabulo pulua, whole chicken with rice, and their mixed BBQ platter. The picture is the whole chicken with rice. The price is very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.

Food is amazing. Qabuli Palau is the most succulent, delicious lamb we’ve ever had, and the chapli kebab and garlic naan are great too. Service is friendly and responsive, more in the ex-US fashion where you won’t get bothered unless you ask for service. It’s lovely and relaxing, and the portions are huge and inexpensive. We will come back over and over for the food.

never go again. We ordered chapli kababs, which were tasteless. Ordered kabouli palao, tasteless, ordered shorbae afghan, tasteless. Even naans were burnt and hard. I think the management and chefs have been changed and hence poor food taste and quality. Dirty washroom also showed how they are managing this restaurant. Horrible experience and hence being deleted from my food spots list….

Oh my gosh. So delicious. Me and my family love trying new places and this was one of a kind. The staff was very kind and welcoming, being very generous when mentioned it was our first time there. The food was delicious, great portions for a great price. I almost cried when I was full because I just wanted to keep eating!! EAT HERE! It really is what you want, flavorful, delicious, and kindness everywhere you see!

The people who own and work at this restaurant are exceptionally good people. Beyond that, the food is absolutely incredible, from the tea to the entree you can expect everything to be delicious and made fresh. The food is fragrant, juicy and seasoned to perfection. I highly recommend Afghan Village Restaurant to anyone looking for authentic and delicious Afghan food or anyone looking to enjoy a yummy meal in a welcoming and tranquil atmosphere. 10/10 everyone who works there are attentive and kind.
