We popped in here out of debauchera’s curiosity. It’s small and has an upscale yet divvy atmosphere. Her bartendress was amazingly personable and fun she recommended delicious drinks and got us appropriately wasted.

This has gotta be one of the coolest spots in town! Ian – the bartender is fantastic. Really knows his stuff. Spent time explaining us about Absinths and how to drink it. Overall – a very chill place, great vibes, right in the middle of the town. Definitely must do when in Breckenridge!

This place is dope. Cool subterranean setting/bar area right off Maine St with an extensive selection of various absinthes from all over the world. The bartender was awesome, accommodating and knowledgeable. Highly recommend dropping in The Absinthe Bar if ever in Breckenridge.

We enjoyed our evening at Swiss Haven and the Absinthe bar. Hans ( or Hanz) was excellent! He sat with us, explained how to mix the absinthe and which to try how much water and sugar to use..

If you are looking for a unique experience in Breckinridge apart from typical ski resort fare, visit the Absinthe Bar and be bold. Ian the bartender gave us a quick education, helped us pick some fantastic absinthe and put on a good show.

We wandered into this bar on a whim a few days ago, even though we have never tried absinthe. The bartender, Hadley was an overall great host. She explained the ins and outs of absinthe and made us some great cocktails. Love the environment and the drinks, we returned for New Year’s Eve and had an absolute blast. One of the few spots in town that felt authentic.

I’ve been to this place every visit to Breckenridge except when it was closed during COVID. We were really looking forward to coming back. Spent $80 on 2 glasses and brought my daughter. It has such a cool vibe, but we were the only people in the bar. Even so, the process was rushed. The sugar cube was dipped in the spirit. This is done when you are going to ignite it. It wasn’t ignited. Which I don’t mind, but don’t dip it if you aren’t going to ignite it. The water was dripped too quickly, and when the cube wasn’t dissolved fast enough for her, which was about 60 seconds, she just stirred it in. The water wasn’t cold enough, and it did not get the opaque look. I assume because it didn’t have time to release the louche due to the rushed process. It was not cold enough, so I had to ask for more ice for both drinks. There was a pile of undissolved sugar at the bottom of the glass. After adding the ice, and swirling the glass a bit it finally did get that opaque quality. I don’t mind paying $80 for 2 drinks when those drinks are an “experience” which is what The Absinthe Bar seems to be selling. Having had the experience before, I am not sure your staff has the training at this time to deliver the same experience. Our visit was 1/4/23.
