Probably #1 or #2 coffee shop in all of Indiana. We have several award winning specialty coffee places. It’s pretty amazing in spite of Indiana’s median coffee culture.
We tried a pour over that was absolutely delightful – notes I feel I hardly get to experience anywhere else – and the Madcap espresso is so so smooth!

I frequent this place during aged maple latte season (in the fall)! This is seriously one of the best lattes I have ever had. I enjoy the environment of the Abbey, and the service is good. They had some weekly events where they were putting out coffee sleeves decorated by some of the local elementary school students, which I adored. Great place!

I love the Abbey! Their coffee is amazing and I love the latte art. This is a great place to get work done or just sit and chat. They have a college student discount which is amazing and I do homework here often. The environment is super cozy and comfortable. There is an upper and lower level with a variety of seating (couches, tables, etc.), Parking is absolutely no issue, there are tons of spots. I love this place!!

Abbey Coffee served soom of the most unique coffees in have seen. They enjoy experimenting with flavor combinations. I felt the combinations were too much with too many flavors happening in the same cup. However, the presentation and uniqueness made it worth the adventure. I also wish they had reasonable food selection. They only had muffins when I went.

The Abbey has an environment of calm, quiet focus that I haven’t found at any other coffee shop. It’s the perfect place to work remotely, study, read, or talk softly with friends. Even when I’ve observed young children in the shop, there is a sense of respect for others and the volume around them. I especially love all the natural lighting. Most local coffee shops don’t offer a variety of quality teas, but The Abbey always has an excellent tea selection (none of which comes out of a tea bag you could get at the grocery). When I visit my family in town, this is where I come to re-center and take a break from the noise of the house. Highly recommend!

My two friends and I had finished shopping across the street and stopped to chat/visit and have something to drink. Each of us were able to choose from a large selection of coffees/teas. I even tried the coffee soda (in a can) which was delicious.
One of my friends spilled her drink. The barista made her a completely new drink at NO CHARGE. THAT is wonderful customer service.
I even played a tune on the piano that has a sign, “Please Play Me”.
We left just as they were closing. We will be back for sure!!!

I’m from out of town and needed a cup of really good coffee. I tried their season maple drink and I got goosebumps at the first sip. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing; a perfect place to get some work done!

Great Ambience! It’s so relaxed and laid-back, kind of cozy. I’ve been in town a little more frequently due to work and it’s nice to have found a good coffee shop to stop by when I’m in town. I haven’t been able to explore their drinks as much as I’d like to but so far so good, I’ve liked what I’ve had. The Blue Crane hot tea is so far one of my favorites, a little ironic maybe. Service had been good and I’ve had a good experience in my few visits.

Best coffee in Grant County! Third-wave-like, few flavors, small variety, but very high quality coffee and kind staff. Excellent place for meetings or study, conveniently located by a bookstore and Dunham’s Sporting Goods.
