I was excited to try this place based on reviews, but sorely disappointed. The waitress was friendly, but super inattentive. There were only 3 other dudes at the bar and we chose to sit at a table, so this was not a problem of being too busy. She just forgot about us.
I had to flag her over to take our drink orders, I had to ask her to bring menus, I had to ask her to come take our food order, then she never once returned to refill our water or offer me another beer, which I definitely wanted. Then I had to walk my leftovers to the bar and ask for a box and a check. The tip reflected the (lack of) service, which I hate doing.
I am sorry, but friendly smiles are not enough to be good at service. Just basic attention is needed and the basics were sorely lacking here.
The good news is the Cubano pizza was fantastic, even if slightly under baked. Amazing flavors.
We will likely return some day because service staff comes and goes and the pizza was delicious enough, but it will take a while to forget this below mediocre experience.

I just really enjoy the food. I dont drink much, but drinks are good as well. Sort of a fun community of regulars who hang out here that are very friendly and polite. Very much enjoy the folks and….the food, again, is wonderful.

We had a drink on the outdoor patio and you can see Rainier!!!! It’s a great space to relax in a no frills kinda place and enjoy a drink. They even have misters to keep you cool. Bartender was awesome. Definitely worth a check out if you want to be out of the downtown!

James, the cook made everything great! The pizza crust was perfect, and so was the rest of the pizza! The wings were spot on, too. We had two different hazy beers from Jordan, and both fit our taste perfect. Everyone here is so nice.

I rarely give reviews and I almost didn’t want to give a review on this place just because I wanted to keep it a lil secret for myself but HOLY, these guys deserve it. My friend and I visited this pub on a Sunday because all other pubs with pool tables were way too packed.. however, 844 pub allowed us to shoot pool for FREE on Sunday and also had some of the best tasting bar food around. We got wings and the meat lovers pizza and all I can say is that I’m already planning to go back next weekend. Excellent service, excellent drinks, not over crowded.. my type of place… all 5 stars from me! 🙂

Susie and the staff are very fun and welcoming. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we have everything we need. The menu offers a great variety of pub food and drinks, and everything ive tried was delicious, especially the wings. The pub’s cozy vibe make it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy great company. I highly recommend the 884 Pub to anyone looking for a fun and welcoming place to grab a bite or have a drink. Cheers.
