I’ve always loved this place! If you haven’t tried the festive drinks yet, you have to stop on! Caramel apple martini, candy corn martini, pumpkin martini…absolutely delicious and creative. That’s partially the best part but also the bartender/waitress was very attentive, personable, and sweet- probably deserves a raise haha. Highly recommend the 715!

715 Steer & Beer is a fantastic dining spot! The food is delicious, I especially recommend the homemade pizza and jumbo shrimp! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with peaceful views and a spacious patio that’s perfect for outdoor dining with kids. The belly-up bar adds a lively touch, and the service is attentive and friendly. A great choice for a quick stop on Highway 10 in Ellsworth!

Went with some friends for dinner after we had driven by a few times and it looked like a neat place. It started out great, we got our drinks quickly and they were great. Once a few other friends got there (only 6 of us total), the waiter began being slightly rude to us. Ordered food, and it was terrible. Everything was served on paper, only sides were a bag of chips or a literal McDonald’s hash brown. The sandwiches barely had any meat / toppings and way too much bread. After we finished eating, our waiter was heading out for the night and said the bartender had our checks when we were ready. We went up to pay and apparently the card reader stopped working so they could only accept cash. We decided to put it on 1 tab to make it easier, and then she asked every single thing we ordered so she could put it on one. 20 minutes later, we were checked out and weren’t even charged for everything because she got overwhelmed and just said “it’s fine you’re good.” We were all frustrated by that point so just left. It was a terrible experience and bad food. Won’t be back.

I really wanted to like this place. Food looks amazing online! Specifically went tonight for their advertised hot beef. We were told they phase that out in the summer so they no longer have it. We were suggest to order the French dip which we did. I ate two bites and left the rest. It was so salty I couldn’t even stomach it. And the side is a hash brown patty that tasted old freezer burnt. When we finished we had to wait several minutes for the bartender to give us our check. She chatted with another table and then proceeded to take the table outside to show them the deck leaving us sitting at the bar without drinks or anything. We also heard our food being microwaved before coming out. Like I said food looks so good online I was so disappointed. Also food is plated on plates online. Everything we got tonight was plastic and throw away. Not worth the price in my opinion.

Group of 4 stopped for lunch sat at indoor table, approx 8-10 people drinking at the bar. Waitress came to table with menus, asked if we wanted drinks, couldn’t remember beers on tap, couldn’t remember the specials other then one that was on special while the Brewers were playing & also stated all canned beer is $2 during the game as well. 1 in group ordered a Bloody Mary with chaser, When waitress came back to table she had 3 big glasses of beer & no Bloody Mary. When asked for that, she stated oh yeah forgot that & gave you a regular beer instead of chaser too. The cook came around ‘How is everyone” and then talked about a few of the specials, then went away. Waitress took orders, still about the same amount of people sitting at the bar during our whole visit but another group of 3 came in & also sat at indoor table. Took 1 hour to get our food, One was a french dip, that was salty & bun completely soggy falling apart. One had a grilled chicken bacon ranch sandwich which had no flavor & 2 tiny burnt to crisp pcs of bacon about the size of your pinky finger. Another had the Walleye sandwich, very thin pc of fish on a ROCK hard bun, fish was nothing special had to eat with fork. Last one had the special footlong loaded hotdog which he thought was good. All came with a random bag of chips as the sides. There was no napkins/papertowels(empty roll) on table, received individual plastic wrapped plastic untensils and all served in a thin paper dish. One did have a can of beer while eating. When waitress came around once we were done & asked how things were. We explained our concerns regarding the ROCK hard bun – how did you expect me to eat this, the bla chicken burnt bacon & soggy bun falling apart. She just shrugged her shoulders & said blame the cook, walked away. Shortly after the cook came to table asking about our food, he tried to say sorry we got really busy & he knew he toasted the bun alittle to long! Said sorry again twice then walked off. Once we received our tickets the group was charged 3.50 for the supposedly $2 can beer and no discount on any of the poor food. Women’s bathroom was dirty, garbage overflowing, no t-paper in stall, floors dirty very dissapointing visit. While at the bar to pay our ticket we could see there was just a small warming oven in back, didn’t see an actual grill to make the food on, which was also concerning. We not be back.

We have stopped here a couple of times. They have amazing blackberry jalapeño margaritas.
My husband and son had smoked bbq ribs and said they were the best they ever had. The jumbo pretzel was also delicious. It was a Friday night and they had one person bartending and waiting tables so we had to wait a bit, but she was working hard and very friendly.
