When I walked in I didnt know if I should sit or wait and no one was about to tell me. After a few minutes I asked and sat. Realized Monday Night FB was on so changed table to watch. Asked someone to clean the table. Girl came over and picked up dirty mug and…… that was it. As I waited for a wipe down on the table someone else came out with my food. Rather quickly. He went to put the bowl down and I asked, “wait, can u please wipe down the table? He did.
Enjoyed the food. 7:30 asked for a latte. Nope, machine off. Ok, I need to order food to go. Nope, kitchen’s closed. Ok how bout a crepe? Nope, sorry can’t do that either. I told her that I went online, checked this place out, and it said closes at 8. It wasn’t even 7:30! So I said I wish someone would have told me that you were closing soon. She said “idk I’m not the owner. Too bad, was gonna get between $200 & $300 worth of food & crepes to bring home for my hungry family.
Hmmmm…. what restaurant should get my big to go order and tip tonight?
Oh well ♀️ I told her maybe you should change that online. Maybe let people know? ♀️
After reviewing checkedbput what other people had to say about this place. I wonder if the owner ever reads these…. seems the closing time as well as when the kitchen closes should be posted online. Very deceiving saying 3rd wave closes at 8pm when before 7:30pm nothing. Can be ordered! Honestly a shame. Where is the owner!Could probably make a lot more $$$
Crêpes are an ultra-thin pancake common in France that can be made sweet or savory, typically rolled or folded with a variety of fillings from jam or Nutella to ham and cheese or fruits. They can be eaten for breakfast, dinner, brunch, dessert, or even a snack.
Situated on Riverside Avenue in Lyndhurst, this cozy, simple hidden gem establishment offers an array of healthy options on their diverse menu, to which my partner and I returned after 8 years.
Upon entering 3rd Wave Cafe, we were able to get a booth along the wall in an upbeat, casual vibe as the music was playing throughout.
We decided on the Tropical Crêpe and Avocado BLT Wrap.
I started with a French iced coffee that was really strong and served in a glass mug.
The crêpe was fluffy, and the texture was great. I could tell all the fruit in it was fresh because it was sweet. The crepe was decorated nicely with a Nutella drizzle and whipped cream dollops that made it visually pleasing. The food, on top of being good-tasting, had a great presentation. The price was reasonable and the portion a healthy size. The service was friendly and not rushed; our server was Am.
We left feeling satisfied and content, and we can recommend returning to explore other menu items.
Menu- Decent price with good quality ingredients. The juices, acai bowl and protein shakes are really good with no artificial sugar . All made from real fruits.
We ordered pink panther protein shake, island bowl, rise and shine juice and all were tasty. Will definitely come back here to try more dishes.
Service was very good, refilled my coffee, and the food was the absolute star of the show. People are sleeping on this joint.

Not gonna lie, the place is small and was understaffed when I first visited. We had a wait to get menus, drinks, and to pay the check.
But that SoCal omelette made me a believer. The today is a thick slice (in two) of some kind of multigrain bread that is a revelation. The omelette was so well plated I had to take a picture. Lots of flavor, perfectly cooked, could’ve had two.
And they make crepes. They offer savory or sweet, and I marveled at the strawberry cheesecake crepe. Looked even better than the omelette; a real pro is working in that kitchen.
And the coffee is really good. Glass mug, not sour or burned even past noon. Sadly no free refills first time I went, but second time, took care of me. This is a great place.
I planned a return visit with a tougher critic, and we came away very happy. This is in our top-three breakfast options now.
