Visiting from out of state for a show and did a last minute trip to The 203 for a valentines lunch. The food was very nice, whipped buffalo ricotta with focaccia, and Hervey Bay scallops. Followed by The glacier 51 toothfish and an off the menu special MBS 5 steak (I think it was a flank) either way both delicious. Silly me, last minute no plans due to a schedule change, so we were a walk in, staff placed us at the bar as an alternative due to valentines day bookings through the roof.. naturally… honestly the best seats in the house! Got lunch and a show, some good conversation with the staff and the drinks were an arms reach away. The barman was awesome and I asked for an off the menu old fashioned using their aussie whiskey and it was perfect. Atmosphere was cool, staff were friendly and accommodating.

We had an amazing experience at 203. The steak was absolutely divine and cooked to perfection. The sides were just as impressive, full of flavour and beautifully presented. The service was attentive and friendly, and the music created the perfect atmosphere it really made the evening special for my wife and me as we celebrated our anniversary. The extra touch of a dessert with “Happy Anniversary” written on it was thoughtful and memorable. A perfect evening from start to finish. Highly recommend!

My girlfriends and I had a fantastic lunch here for our annual Christmas catch up. Our waiter was funny and great to chat to and everything we ordered was amazing. The cocktails are great – recommend the 203 twist on a spicy marg. Also the toothfish, lobster linguine and the scallops!

Came here on a Thursday, so it wasn’t too busy. Service was great, the waiter explained the menu and gave recommendations which was very much appreciated. We ordered the kingfish, cristo de gallo, steak with roast potatoes as a side and the Nebbiolo-daiso as a sauce.
Kingfish was alright. The ponzu had nice acidity to it which paired well with the fish.
Cristo de gallo was decent, but my girlfriend found the tart lemony sauce took away from the umami of the bone marrow filling.
The steak was nice and tender, had a good char on its crust which added a very nice deeper flavour, but could have used more salt or flaky salt to finish as it felt a bit under seasoned. The jus enhanced the flavour of the steak but wasn’t mind blowing as it was very mild in the background, and lacked a rich flavour you’d expend from a red wine reduction, especially as the waiter suggested it as their signature sauce. The roast potatoes were lacklustre, as they were too big so the seasoning was only on the outside, and inside was just plain potato. Could’ve used more salt and rosemary and garlic was not very pronounced, and the potatoes also not that crispy.
Overall, not a bad experience, but there are better establishments I’d go to at this price range.

To the extremely friendly and knowledgeable management and staff of The 203, thank you for the warm and inviting environment which made our daughter’s birthday dinner very special indeed. From the attention to detail in the ambience of delicate lighting choices throughout the restaurant, enjoyable music that provided a great atmosphere onto the exquisite food and drinks, not to mention the open plan kitchen where you could see all the action taking place. We opted to take advantage of sharing amongst our group, my familia and I thank Claire, Jerome and the team, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend The 203.

We had our EOY function here at the 203. It was insane! We had the whole place to ourselves. The food / service / drinks / wait staff / bar staff and kitchen staff were amazing. We all had so much fun! Thank you Claire and team for a wonderful day – we definitely think we will be back next year !!

The 203 delivers an outstanding dining experience. The warm ambient vibe sets the tone the moment you walk in, and the high-class dining area creates the perfect setting. The open kitchen is a highlight, offering a clear view of the chefs preparing and cooking each dish — an experience in itself. The hospitality and service from the wait staff were excellent, attentive without being intrusive. Overall, it’s a place I couldn’t recommend more.

A wonderful dining experience. We booked a table of 9 for my mums birthday on a Friday night. Lovely table, ambience and the food and service from all wait staff was exceptional. Even more impressive was when I rang the next day to query our bill which was my mistake, I was treated very politely and talked through the query. My error but there was genuine concern to correct the issue of which there wasn’t one. Very classy.
No seed oils used here which is why we chose this restaurant and given the all round experience being a pleasure we will return many times. So nice to have discovered this Brisbane gem.
