The River Rolls were very tasty, so was the chili. Not too spicy. The Tavern Mac n Cheese was not very flavorful however. It was a little soupy and I would have like a sharper cheese. We had lunch and it looks like it would be fun to come for drinks and dinner. There were lots of specialty drinks. The name says Tavern, but it was heavy on the Southwest flavors.

High hopes due to the amount of stars The 202 Tavern has, but was let down.
Chicken quesadilla was listed for $14. Came out with 4 dinky slices with little to no chicken.
The chicken sandwich had an extremely thinly sliced chicken in it…. That was $15
I ordered the beef brisket which was 29.99. Description says it was juicy and succulent, but it was extremely dry. I had to drink water while eating it, so it could easily go down. The vegetable of the day was spinach but it had slices of bacon in it. I don’t eat pork so that was an issue.
If you have vegetable of the day listed, maybe it should only be vegetable.
Everything was overpriced.
I highly recommend you skip this place and go elsewhere to eat!

Came in for dinner late one night and it was surprisingly good. We opted for the brisket sandwich, smoked half chicken and the burger. Everything was excellent. The brisket was tender, juicy and flavorful, burger was top notch and the half chicken juicy with the perfect balance of smoke. We will be back!

Fantastic lunch on 9/21. First time ever and one of the best burgers you can get in the area….hands down. Outside is awesome with the river and sunshine. They were also smoking all kinds of food outside. Just go!

We had the mussels and bacon spuds for an appetizer and they were both very good. Had the salmon and it was great. Brownie sundae with strawberry ice cream hit the spot too.

Burger is as good as they advertise! Our NY strip and Burger was cooked exactly as ordered. (Medium Rare). They taste of the steak (as per my wife) was perfection. Thought is was not as tender as expected. She says because it was cooked and the season, made up for the tenderness. The frozen Margarita was very good and the Sam Adams was served ice cold. The waiter, Peter, was on point. We sat outside. It was still warm and covered in case of rain. We had the patio to ourselves.

I was in the New Preston area and had a craving for a burger.
Good size burger very tasty.
Julie was a very good server, pleasant,and helpful.
My only complaint is there was a so many flies that took some of the enjoyment of the visit away.
I will go back, there are items I want to try.
