Excellent food & service. Love the small, local feel of this restaurant. We stopped in on the way to our home after a long day in Old Forge. We had the bone-in wings, the brussel sprouts, the meatloaf wrapped in bacon, and the chicken tortilla soup………All excellent!

The 1892 is the absolute best food in the area and one of the nicest establishments around. The new owners have done a great job at turning this place into a classy establishment with tasty food and drinks. It’s the first place we recommend to all of our friends and anyone visiting the region.

I’m not sure you would ever find this if you weren’t looking for it. Seemed like a local bar that also has food. Only about 5 tables but it was quiet on a Wednesday early evening. The burger was fresh, a bit overcooked, but the fries were delicious. My husband has the blackened salmon and said everything was very well cooked just a bit bland. Overall a decent meal and we left full.

Awesome food. I never had truffle fries before, so I can’t compare them to others. But that being said they were hands down the best fries I ever had.
The smoked trout dip was delicious. And the hamburger I had was excellent.
Ate outside, but the interior is very nice and inviting.

Do not let the rustic décor fool you into passing by The 1892 Bar & Grill. The Chef has created a wonderful menu and his pallet is excellent. Almost everything of substance is sourced locally and though the price initially gave me pause, the quality proved to me, that I shouldn’t have thought twice.

A must if you’re in town! Food was wonderful- highly recommend the hot honey chicken sandwich! The environment was great, so welcome and everybody was so kind. Cannot recommend enough! We will definitely be back.

Delicious food and quick service! This spot is great for a post hike meal. The truffle fries were very good, especially with the garlic aioli. The caesar salad dressing was very refreshing and the chicken was nice and crispy. Totally worth a stop if you’re in the area!

I’ll start with the best part – the french onion soup. If you like FOS then I’d recommend that. Had a good balance of salt onion cheese and bread… very good!
