We had such a great experience at Thawan Thai Cuisine. Everything we ordered was full of flavor and tasted freshly made.
The tom yum soup was comforting and delicious, with the perfect balance of sour and spicy. You could really taste the herbs, and it wasn’t overpowering at all. The pineapple fried rice was flavorful and aromatic, with just the right hint of sweetness from the pineapple—it was light but still very satisfying.
Our favorite dish was the pad kee mao (spicy basil noodles). The noodles were cooked perfectly and packed with bold, spicy flavor. The basil added a fresh kick, and it had just the right amount of heat.
Overall, the food was excellent and clearly made with care. If you’re looking for tasty, authentic Thai food, this place is definitely worth trying. We’ll be back for sure!

Yum!! Stopped in for some Kha Soy and it was amazing! Friendly service by two servers and outstanding food! I’ve lived in Norman for 8 years and today was my first visit here! I’ll be a regular! It will be hard for me to order anything else than their Kha Soy, but I want to try their green curry!

I go to Thai restaurants specifically for the curry. I am partial to Green curry, and that’s what we had here! We got to go though, so I can’t really comment on the service. They were busy, and the patrons seemed happy and talkative. Its a very small restaurant, so it was decently loud. I was greeted right away, asking if I had a pickup order. The curry was very good, lots of chicken, lots of bamboo shoots, and peppers. The curry was the right thickness, very flavorful and spicy. My wife got the 1 star, and I got the 5 star. There was definitely a large difference in the spiciness between them. My only complaint, and its not really a complaint, because I was happy, is that I would have liked it even spicier. The servings are large! If you’re a Thai curry fan, you won’t be disappointed.

So glad I found this place! The food was awesome, the service was awesome, very little wait time. Cozy and out of the way place. Definitely a place to experience. Love the HOT teas and be super careful ordering your spice level, as for me it was a 2 my girlfriend got a 3 and wow it was spicy but very good. I will definitely be going back real soon.

I started going here regularly during college, it quickly emerged as my favorite place. Never once have I had a bad experience (I’ve gotten food here 100+ times over the years)
I moved around to Tulsa, Denver, and a couple other places, and was never able to find a place as good as this one. I ALWAYS get it when I’m back. I’ve found a few that come close in terms of taste, but this place is all-around best in not only taste, but also quantity and price.
If I had to choose one last meal here in earth, I’d probably choose of Thai from here, and I mean that

I was quite hungry and was in this area, but I decided to try this Thai food and ordered from here. OMG! I was shocked at how greasy it was, it was just drenched in oil and honestly hard to enjoy. Please, please use less oil, it would make all the difference!

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 – Basil Fried Rice with beef (Kao-Pad Ga-Praw) and Red Curry with pork (Gang Deang). Very generous serving size and we are so happy that there’s enough rice for the curry! Even at a 3 spicy (out of 5), there was quite a kick to the curry. The bell peppers were bright and a great compliment to the creamy curry. The fried rice was savory with a lovely strong taste of the basil and they provide a slice of lime that gives it a great acidity. The bell peppers were a bit overcooked, but still a great dish overall.
Service: 5/5 – friendly and quick service
Ambiance: n/a – ordered food to go.
Value for price: 5/5 – one of our favorite Thai places in quite a while. The food is absolutely delicious, generous portions, and such friendly service!

Wonderful food made by wonderful people. I had their veggie spring rolls, the Thai style papaya salad, and vegetable pas Thai. Everything was amazing, and served by thoughtful and caring staff. Most definitely having more meals here, and telling others.

My wife and I had a delicious lunch here. We started with a Thai Dumpling. It was very good. Then we both had Pad Kee-Mao. She had shrimp, and I had chicken. It was a delicious lunch for a fair price. We’ll be back.
