The service was great, very friendly and kind. The atmosphere was decent and clean. The Tomato basil soup was better than average but the PASTRAMI SANDWICH was TERRIBLE! The bread was ok but way too much for the amount of filling. The pastrami was chewy, fatty and overall just not good at all!! I assume there other proteins are better due to their overall rating but after having the pastrami I don’t know that I will be back to try anything else.

The atmosphere and decor was great BUT I wish the sandwiches were better!! We got a 6 inch ham it was smothered in mustard and the bread was stale!! The tuna sandwich was flavorless and the bread was also super stale and crumbly. The soda machine was also broken. We paid good money to eat here for lunch and threw most of it away. So disappointed we went in here with such high hopes and we left devastated. I dont think we will be back here for lunch ever again.

Really big sandwiches!!!! The 6 inch is more like a foot long worth of food from somewhere else. The deluxe was so flavorful and the meat ball was huge and the taste was spot on. Be careful it’s hard to spot the sign in a small piece of paper in the window. I love the atmosphere, it’s a hole in the wall that’s a gem. I definitely will be back when I’m in that neck of the woods.

This is seriously one of the BEST hidden gem sandwich shops I’ve EVER been to. I’m not even talking Salt Lake specific, just in general.
I don’t say “hidden” gem lightly, as there is no sign above the door and it’s very low-key, but well worth the hunt to find the place.
The owner is a super nice guy, and the service is second to none. Everyone seems genuinely happy to be working there, and the food is TOP NOTCH.
They use these super soft and tasty sandwich rolls which are baked fresh daily, apparently!
The soda fountain is perfectly tuned for a proper balance of syrup and carbonation.
I highly recommend the (hot) steak and works, or the (cold) club sandwich. The atmosphere is awesome with good music and some really cool vintage Star Wars decor.
I’ll be sure to update my review with more pictures next time I’m there, because I will certainly be a regular after my awesome experiences here.
It does get pretty busy around lunch time, but if anything that just speaks to the level of quality in both the food and service, as I waited less than 10 minutes to be served even in a lunch rush.
Can’t stress it enough, this place RULES!

Visited “That Sandwich Shop” 55 N Redwood Road. I split a Philly Cheese Steak with a coworker. The meat was quite tasty with onion and pepper. Then gooey provolone on top. The bread was soft and tasty. At 10 bucks? It only had to be half this good!. We did takeout, but dine in is available.

Great place with delecious soup and sandwiches a bit on the pricy side my soup and salad meal was over $20 but better than the garbage they sell at subway. Great atmosphere friendly service and clean place what more could you ask for. There isn’t a sign on the shop you can tell this business is definitely word of mouth I’ll be back!

Seriously some of the best sandwiches around. It can get a little busy during lunch time so it’s best to get here early, but definitely worth the wait. The bread is always soft, yet sturdy enough to hold your fillings. They are pretty decent sized even for the 6 inch. The shop is a little whole in the wall so you know everything is made with care and love. The seating inside the shop promotes the friendliness of the place. One of the best places to grab a bite to eat in salt lake.

This place is very hidden. It was hard for me to find, because it blends in with the strip mall. I had a French dip. The sandwich was very large and had decent flavor. I personally would prefer less bread and more meat. The sandwich was large with a very thin layer of roast beef. I will be back to try something else hoping to find a favorite sandwich at this location.

The meatball and BLT were awesome. They are big. Fed a hungry family of 5 with 3 double sandwiches.

Great little sandwich shop. Excellent sandwiches. Good value for your dollar. Room to stay and eat. Lots of Star Wars memorabilia.
I would recommend the Philly steak sandwich or the French dip.
