Please make it make sense!.Everything salty except for the turkey wings which were tasteless and sitting in water,not gravy.Portions were small for the price.The cornbread appeared stale.The yams tasted like they were from the can and sugar was poured over the top The whole order went in the trash.

The reviews were mixy but I thought I’ll give it a try. They ran out of whiting so I chose catfish instead. The meal was a 7.9 out of a 10 and I only gave that rating because they forgot my cake & chicken. Ill def order again

This was one of the best experiences I’ve had! The food was fresh, delicious, and packed with flavor. You can tell they really care about what they do. They also went above and beyond with their service and made everything feel special. I’ll definitely be ordering from them again. Highly recommend!

I must pay credit where credit is due! This place didn’t disappoint me. I ordered a bunch of stuff they didn’t have but they were communicative. They knew that I was flexible enough to compromise and the food, when it was delivered, was made w love! It was good. Now if you’re patient and not too much of a stickler I really do recommend this place. 5 stars!

I did not like this. I was eating the chicken and couldn’t even finish it, it had a stinky taste to it. Mac was very mushy, the greens tasted funny as well. I don’t even want a refund, but the reviews on door dash are not accurate at all and I will not be ordering again.

DON’T waste your money. I’ve given this restaurant my service NUMEROUS times and 95% of the time there has been an issue with my order or delivery. Missing items in the order, incorrect items received because someone didn’t read properly then had the nerve to tell me what I got is what I ordered until they took two minutes to review for themselves. Twice the owner has had to make a special delivery rectify a mistake and while I was appreciative for going out of the way, I should not have to experience a problem with nearly EVERY order.
This is practically the only soul food spot in my town with decent food. I’d like to support local, I’d like to support black owned. But the countless errors even when rectified is unacceptable.
The last straw was tonight. I hadn’t eaten all day. Finally waiting for a quality meal and some mysterious bs happens with my order and it can no longer be delivered although it was allegedly picked up by the UberEats driver and the delivery was marked as COMPLETED (I watched the map as the driver drove closer to my neighborhood. When I called the restaurant they claimed my food was still there, “pipping hot” and awaiting my driver that the woman confirmed had already come and left.
At this time it’s close to closing l, I can’t redo the order to send another driver. I doubt they even started my order at this point because the story isn’t making any sense. I tried to call the restaurant back and they shut off their phones.
I’ll hopefully be getting my money back. And as frustrating as this is, I’m tired of giving chance after chance.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

I don’t usually leave feedback but I must say the was extremely good, tasty and cooked to perfection! The collards were well seasoned, the yams didn’t taste like they were canned and the whiting was fried to perfection… crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I highly recommend “THAT FISH SPOT ON GOVERNOR.”

I placed my order around 6 :15 p.m they called me back and told me it would be 30 mins for the mac and cheese it actually took almost another hour and a half for us to get our food! I called and the cook who answered the phone was rude and my question is if you’re the cook why are you answering the phone? That’s probably why it took so long for us to get our food. The problem with some of these owners they forget how it is to be a paying customer!!! I try to support but I will say I will never order from this place again.
