Very tasty Thai food and friendly service! The chicken satay skewers were very delicious, as were the vegetable spring rolls. Lovely pork pad Thai and a very tasty, not too spicy, beef green curry with rice. The restaurant dining area is small and cosy – you share tables with other diners and they have a walk in as well as online delivery/takeout service. The food came out very quickly after ordering and the staff were all friendly and didn’t rush you. Paying by cash gives a 10% discount which is great. We will be coming here for our Thai food from now on!

Delicious food! Very flavourful, and spicy in a good way but not overwhelming. The chicken skewers were a bit on the dry side, but not too bad. Prices were reasonable, staff were friendly. We had take out twice from here, but I’m not sure I could eat in the restaurant as the smoke from cooking isn’t vented properly outside and it flows into the eating area. Just ordering at the desk near the kitchen made me cough quite a bit. But it was worth it because the food was quite good!

The beef is drier and rougher than my life and it’s not spicy at all so perhaps the ️ ️ ️ is just for British people ?!

I don’t think the crispy pork belly is a good ingredient with Pad Thai, but it’s not too bad, it’s just not impressive at all, especially for a dish sold for £17.55. It definitely doesn’t deserve this price. I would rather go for the prawn version which is cheaper at £14.95.

The Tom Yum vegetable soup, on the other hand, tastes quite nice, so I decided to give 3 stars to this restaurant overall.

When I first got into the restaurant there was a very irritating spicy smoke that makes everyone cough very hard for a few minutes, but I quite like it actually.

The stools are those high stools that are not comfortable and there’s no place for me to put my belongings. I ended up having to put everything on the tiny sticker table.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone, and I probably will never come back again.

Red curry is legit, the flavours are all there and the pork had enough fats as well. Highly recommended, hard to find authentic Thai food here

Ckn satay is average, the spices were ok but ckn breast is really not the correct meat for grilling. Peanut sauce was ok if rather weak

Pad see Ew wasn’t authentic, but it was executed well. Noodles have a good chew, there’s wok hey, cabbage was well fried and crispy pork was flavourful. Authentic versions are 10x better but this one was delicious enough

Mango sticky rice was fine, mango was not bad for the ones you can find here, coconut sauce was super thick and salted sufficiently, glutinous rice was abit too tightly packed but it’s still quite decent overall

My friend and I got the pad see eww and sping rolls. We devoured every last bit, I think I saw my friend licking the bowl. We will be back. Cannot wait to order again and try the mango sticky rice. Brillant establishment. Friendly staff. 🙂

I actually had friends visiting me so we thought of trying some Thai food, already familiar with Thai cuisine I made plans to take my guests to The Thailander( never been before) well the food was ok but it was overpriced for the whole restaurant experience. The place is tiny and we were expecting it to be a restaurant however it was not, only few tables we were sharing table with other guests, food was good and staff was friendly but I wouldn’t pay like 80 to 90 pounds for the food we ordered. We ordered fish cakes, Tom yum soups and pad Thai.

Highly recommend!!! Best Thai cuisines in Edinburgh for takeaway and single person meals!! Mango sticky rice is very authentic. Tasteful pad Thai. Thai tea is cheap and flavourful. Most important: VERY CHEAP and Reasonable Prices!!! 30£ for two and you can just be full and satisfied. Love here!!!! ♥️

Had the mango and sticky rice and felt quite close to home (bkk)! Reasonably priced compared to other places and the owner chef is a sweet lady. Will def be back for more dishes

Edit: went here with my friend and we ordered a couple of dishes including panang curry, pad thai, red curry, satay and mango sticky rice. We absolutely loved the food. Hands down the best and most authentic Thai food one can find in Edinburgh. A must must must visit if you’re in Edinburgh and are craving for an authentic Thai food. Have added it to my go to Thai place. Heart and tummy both were very satisfied! Value for money. Friendly service. Once again, it took me back home!!
Definitely coming back and will recommend others to visit too

Had our first meal at the Thailander today .We have been looking forward to trying it out for ages but as we live quite far away it has been difficult to organise. We were not disappointed! Everything is fresh and cooked to perfection .Close your eyes and you would think that you were back in Thailand,One of the most authentic Thai restaurants we’ve ever been to in the UK.We will definitely be back, staff were so friendly ,can’t fault anything .Compliments to the chef!
