I was in the mood for breakfast this morning & traveled to the Thano’s Family Restaurant in Canfield, Ohio. I was told that they have an amazing breakfast, I was not disappointed. When i arrived, I was warmly greeted by the hostess. She asked my seating preference (table, counter or booth), and seated me quickly. She adjusted the table & positioned it for my comfort, then checked the table to make sure I had everything I need for my meal. My waitress was over quickly & brought me a nice, hot cup of coffee. She was super friendly & pleasant, she then went over the menu with me. I made the selection of the Everything Omelet with a side home fries & white toast. A few minutes later my breakfast was brought to my table nice & hot. I must say the omelet was proper, lots of meat & the home fries were perfect. The atmosphere was very relaxed & calm, made for an enjoyable experience. Plus the cost of my entire meal was good, it certainly didn’t break the bank. I really enjoyed my dining experience here & I will definitely be returning in the future. If you love a proper breakfast, this is the place for you.

We are never there during busy hours but they offer breakfast all day as well as American diner food and Greek specialties. Everything I have ever gotten was fresh prepared and hot. Staff is very friendly every time. Very recommendable.

It’s fine. It was Sunday we waited a long while for our food, we did finally get it and the eggs were burnt, and it was not hot, warm. “Just a few more minutes” more like 20, then she dropped it off and commented “finally”. We feel that maybe it sat in the window for a long while, the staff was very attentive with drink refills. It took way too long to get our food, they were busy, but cleared out and new guests sat, ordered and food was out in maybe 15 minutes, we waited 40? I thought she forgot to turn in the order, but after the warmish food we received. I thought she just forgot? We ate, then my husband put his fork down, to wipe his face, and the hostess came by and grabbed the plate with his last bite of biscuit and gravy, then she asked ” can I take this for you?” Um, you already did. Awkward. He just looked at me. She was already pre busing prior to asking, my thought? We waited 40+ minutes for food and now we need to hurry? Popular place, the food was good, just not hot, service was good, but too attentive to the wrong things. I mean how many times you come by to ask about refills and notice we are not eating? Few minutes? Finally? Huh? Just need to have a little staff meeting and hostess man your post, and stay away from the tables. Everybody run the trays. Get the food out hot!

Thanos sells good quality food without raising the bill like everyone else has. Their onion rings are the best since the Red Barn was making them. The burgers are juicy and 1/2 pounders. The spaghetti sauce needs some work, but, it’s Youngstown, our Italian standards are higher than most in that category. The Friday fish dinners are very good with the homemade mac n cheese. Finding quality food like this at pre-covid pricing is very rare nowadays. My only real gripe i have the fact that they start selling dinner early in the day but don’t have baked potatoes until 4PM.

There for breakfast. Our drink order was not complete. Brought our breakfast and was taken and placed at the neighboring table who was also waiting for food. Then picked up from that table and placed on ours. We did not see if the other people even touched our food. Potatoes were cold and tasted like they turned. Omelet was more of a scramble and was also cold in the middle. Toast was warm bread. All around bad vibes. Never again.

We had a large party with 3 children, the waitress handled it well. Coffee was always refilled. The Greek omelette was very good. The meal came with plenty of home fried potatoes and toast. The biscuits are a must order.

Went for the 1st time while visiting for a wedding. Came here for breakfast and wow was it good. Fresh food. Great service. Waitress was great. We all loved it here and will definitely be back next vacation.

Tidy, yet compact place. Diner flair with a delightful Greek American flavor. Highly recommend the breakfast menu because that’s all I was there to sample. Quick service and turn around even on a busy Sunday morning!

I think Thanos is the best and most consistent Greek restaurant west of the city. The food is fresh , tasty and reasonably priced. Service is spot on and the ambiance is nice authentic and chill. Always a great experience. A high recommend!!!!
