$17.42 for a pile of bean sprouts?
I came to the Hugh food court off of a co-worker recommendation. I want to know what they ate because this restaurant disappointed me. I was looking for classic Thai noodles, but I guess this place got the NYC gentrified treatment. This messy box had barely any flavor at all!
The service was super quick, but it’s probably because this place was empty. That should have been my sign that this place needs a refresh. As you can see, $17 at this restaurant gave me a meal less than the size of my hand. After one slurp of noodles, all I had left was bean sprouts. So disappointing. The tiny little pieces of chicken had absolutely no flavor – for $17 I’m expecting more than three pieces of protein. I understand this area has a lot of high profile or high earning customers, but any room for the little guy to enjoy food at a reasonable price as well?
At most, I would charge this “lunch special” at $10. It’s also cheaper to order pick-up online as the same special is $1 less.

Mediocre food. Came here for Yellow Curry (which is hard to find in NYC for some reason), but what I got was a generic curry that could have been just called “curry” and some chicken with rice. All the way at the bottom were a COUPLE of potato slices and carrot slices. 100% did not look or taste like Yellow Curry. At least the chicken portion was generous, but it was a tad overcooked (but still not terrible), but for ~$17 it was the bare minimum I’d expect, to be honest. The service was…nonexistent. Nobody greeted me, I placed the order on the kiosk, they served me my stuff with an inauthentic smile. Whatever, I was hungry, I ate it. Never again though.
The ginger drink, as fresh and appetizing as it sounds, tasted too syrupy and was premade, sitting in a refrigerated pitcher.
Don’t bother. Much better options LITERALLY steps away.

I’m surprised by the low rating. I actually really rate this place. It might depend on what you order: the pineapple fried rice and massaman curry are very tasty. The shrimp is fantastic, though the chicken’s not so good.

Absolute dreadful service! Waited over 40minutes for my order and the server had no empathy whatsoever. Furthermore they had the audacity to give me attitude when I asked for both a plastic fork and chopsticks! The food was decent but not worth the wait. Highly recommended not eating here… I’d recommend somewhere more welcoming.

Waited 30 minutes for subpar chicken pad Thai. 15 People who ordered after me received their food first. Lack of chicken (see right side). Not worth it will not go again

I had a very disappointing experience. The person taking my order was chatting with someone who didn’t appear to be a customer and wasn’t paying attention. I had to return to the counter, and when I was finally served, the lady gave me a matcha that was not fresh and tasted terrible.

The food is great but I’ve never had an order come out in less than half an hour. Today was 45 minutes. For lunch, that’s not acceptable.
Edit: today I found an eggshell in my food as well.

Thank you Toon and Senna! My go-to’s are the sweet sausage fried rice and their pad thai. The mini dumplings were also great – definitely coming back here. Delicious!!!

Worst Pad Thai I ever had since in NYC. Tried twice before writing a review. Both times very disappointing. Service needs to improve a lot.
