Good banh mi sandwich place, not the best but really good. They also have different hot dishes you can choose, pre-made desserts, dessert drinks, food dishes (had banh xeo today), and snacks. This time had their dac biet (house special, basically with everything), steamed custard buns. The sandwich was good, bread was soft and not too hard. They were light on the pate, which i love. Had the grilled pork before and was good. The steamed buns were a nice surprise, soft buns and good custard, not too sweet. Great flavor.

You’re here for the banh mi. They make very good sandwiches and that’s all you should order – vegetarian options are also available. The bread could be improved a bit (go early to get fresher loafs) but the fillings are moist and generous. They do offer other smaller options and drinks as well but nothing compares to the sandwiches. There’s a small free parking lot on site but otherwise you’re parking on the street.

Nice location to get Vietnamese products. Not only do they sell banh mi, but they also sell soy milk, pandan, and more. The atmosphere is a stuffy since it’s a busy place. The tofu banh mi is nice, but inconsistent. They do put a unique sauce inside the banh mi, which is delicious.

Thanh Son Tofu and Bakery is a great spot for Vietnamese cuisine and dessert. The tofu is fresh made and the bean with coconut milk dessert was delicious. The decor is nice and the area is bit shady but in the day you will be fine.

The store’s name speaks for itself. The store specializes in tofu food, including other Vietnamese food. I am fond of their hot and tasteful soybean milk ( both sugar and no sugar) and ordinary fried tofu. I heard some complaints about their services, but nothing wrong happened to me. They have around 15 parking lots in front of the store. Sometimes, I stop by to get some tofu sandwiches for breakfast. Again, I highly recommend this fantastic place to anyone

Great place for banh mi and tofu. If I remember correctly, I’ve seen their tofu at every Asian grocery store in the area. It’s for good reason. They’re tofu tastes really good. I tried their plain fried tofu as well as fried lemongrass tofu and fried green onion tofu. The lemongrass tofu was my favorite with its lemongrass and possibly red chili flakes. They tasted great even eaten on their own. The green onion tofu was really tasty as well – the vermicelli noodles in the tofu were a pleasant surprise as well. I had visited in at about 9am on a Wednesday and it was understandably quiet. Many of the items had not been put out yet. On top of the tofu I bought, I also bought a pork banh mi with a fried egg. I liked the banh mi a lot. It’s definitely one of the better ones I’ve had. The pork was caramelized and had an assertive lemongrass flavor – more so than other version I’ve tried. The bread was soft – not as crunchy which is fine in my mind. Also the fried egg was a good addition to the sandwich. I would definitely return for more tofu and the banh mi.

I come here just for the banh mi sandwiches, but they also have other Vietnamese food here like buns, tofu, and desserts. The banh mis are really good and I would say probably one of the best in the CID. They are packed with veggies like cucumber, carrots, cilantro, and jalapenos that you can ask to omit. Also for the price it is not bad. There is parking but it can be tight if it’s busy. There’s also street parking as well.

Love this place!

Great banh mi, although I think the combo doesn’t have enough protein

The flavored tofu is amazing! The lemongrass chili flakes one is really good for southeast Asian dishes. The onion flavored one can look intimidating, it has chopped rice noodles, fried onion, and wood eat in it-got some good smoky flavors. It bothers me a bit that none of the deli item have price tag, just FYI four pieces of flavored tofu is about $3-3.5. Also love their soy milk! So fresh.

Will definitely visit again!

Their food seems good and has nice variety. However, bad customer service, bad attitude. They didn’t even give me a bag and completely ignore me during the check out process.

Combo Banh Mi: $7 (including tax)

Decent. Bread a bit crusty and hard to bite.
