I’ve been craving for some Thai food lately. One day, while doing some errands at SM Sta. Rosa, I stumbled upon this newly opened Thai food section at the 2nd Floor Foodcourt named Thaiwadee.

I ordered the usual suspects – Vegetarian Pad Thai, Pad Kra Pao Moo and Sticky Mango Rice.

The Pad Thai is okay, it’s savory, sweet and a bit sour. Instead of meat, it has tofu.

The Pad Kra Pao is satisfying. Meaty, savory, with sweet herbal, anise – like flavor from Thai Basil, which isn’t easy to find these days. The fried eggs provide a creamy flavor.

The Sticky Mango Rice is also good. Creamy and sweetness from Carabao mangoes makes it a rich dessert.

The Tamarind Iced Tea is sweet and sour, providing a good contrast to the rich Thai food.

Imagine Thai food for under 200 Philippine pesos? That’s why I keep coming back.
