️ Thailicious by Thai Away Home – Hidden Gem on East Hastings!
Found this charming little Thai spot at 2402 E Hastings, and it instantly became one of my favorite Thai food places in Vancouver!
Must-Try Dish: The Spicy Basil Minced Pork with Rice — hands down one of the best I’ve had in the city. Packed with flavor, spice, and authentic Thai aromatics. If you’re a fan of bold flavors, this one will hit the spot!
Thai Iced Tea was another highlight — creamy, not overly sweet, and beautifully balanced. It paired perfectly with the meal and helped mellow the spice.
We also had their Chicken Yellow Curry, which was equally delicious — warm, comforting, and full of rich coconut flavor.
The restaurant has a cozy and sunlit interior, with views out to the street and a relaxing ambiance. Perfect for both solo lunches and casual catch-ups.

Thailicious on Hastings and Nanaimo is run by That Away Home (they have a few other locations around town).
Dropped by for lunch in mid-November. I was surprised that they still had affordable lunch combos ($12.95) which included a freshly fried spring roll chock full of vermicelli noodles).
The Thai coconut green curry with chicken was very good. I asked for medium spice and it had a nice kick to it. The chicken and eggplant was tender and I would up finishing all of that yummy creamy curry sauce.
The pad Thai noodles had a good chew to them and the prawns had a snappy bite.
The chicken wings with Thai sweet sauce turned out really crunchy.
Honestly can’t beat the value here and the food was very satisfying. If I lived closer to here, I’d be having this for lunch everyday.

The food and service were excellent! I went to Thai Away with my husband and baby, and they brought us a high chair, kids’ cutlery, and a plate right away without us even asking.
We ordered Pad Thai, Green Curry, and Thai Iced Tea. Everything was great, and the Thai Iced Tea was the best we’ve ever had!

This is the first time that I go here since they renewed the place (not long ago) and I believe the essence of it has kinda stayed. Although it would be nice to see some dishes stay (specially vegetarian ones), I believe the food is really tasty and the drinks are awesome, as well as the people that are really friendly.
I kinda miss the murals from before though, or some colorful touch somewhere.

I liked the food, as did my companions. The service was good, although maybe a bit slow at the start. I kind of liked the atmosphere, because I like finding ‘a hole in the wall’ with good food, but I doubt many would find the atmosphere to be appealing.

I hauled a lunch feast of the Crispy Tofu เต้าหู้ and Pad See Ew ผัดซีอิ๊ว which was all incredibly yummy, very well seasoned with a knockout peanut satay and oyster seasoning with huge plentiful portions.
I totally dig the fact they use authentic dry Thai spices which is great, I got the spiciest level which was an extremely pleasant bit of heat to some super chowy yum noodles! This has been one of my best Thai Uber Eats experiences due to the flavor, amount of oil is a perfect amount for takeout.

First time trying Thailicious. We really enjoyed their smoked duck salad which was a unique find for Thai; duck breast had a lovely smokey flavour was tender and juicy. Pineapple curry was plentiful and had chunks of fresh pineapple. Good portions and good gradation in spice level (2 was mild, 3 was moderate spice, 4 was very spicy but still flavourful). Will definitely get takeout again from here!

Beautiful atmosphere. The painted walls were quite beautiful after the renovation.
The server was friendly and helpful.
I find that the lunch special is a bit pricier than other Thai places at $12 but my fiance loves the pad thai. The salad seemed to have Caesar dressing but she said that it was tahini based.

Ordered food from here and my green curry was missed. I called the restaurant and they immediately delivered my missing item. Both the customer service and food quality was excellent – would absolutely order here again!
