I will start off by saying I’ve eaten here 6 times since living in fargo. I’ve Never had a bad experience, a bad meal customer service is top tier. Food ingredients are fresh and preparation is top tier. I recommend ThaiKota to everyone and they love it as well. Delicious flavorful hot meal Everytime. I order two meals everytime my order is always correct. I’m definitely going to miss this restaurant when I leave.

Thaikota has some of the best food in the city, and the owners dedication to the food really shows. I have never had a bad meal in this restaurant and rave about it to anyone who asks for food recommendations in Fargo.
The owners routinely travel back to Thailand for ingredients and inspiration and while I’m just some white guy, the food rivals places Ive been to in San Diego.
The restaurant itself is fairly nondescript but do not let that fool you, it’s 100% worth it

Excellent, deep, and rich flavors of your favorite Thai dishes. Some of the best food in town. I have only ever ordered takeout online, system is easy to use and the food comes out quick and nicely packaged. I have tried the Drunken Mama and Khao Soi Curry and enjoyed them both. But I have to say, the Tom Yum Noodle Soup is the best item I’ve had. Don’t let it’s location attached to a gas station deter you, give it a try!

Went in for dinner with a couple friends on a weeknight and the place had a nice relaxed vibe. The staff greeted us quickly and gave us a few suggestions since it was our first time there. I ordered the pad thai and it came out pretty fast. Flavor was good, not too sweet and the portion was decent. My friend got green curry and said it had a nice kick to it. The dining area was clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but it worked well. Only thing is the parking outside can be a little tight during busy hours. Overall it was a solid meal and I’d probly come back again when I’m in the area.

My Pad Thai had the BEST chicken~ with crispy grilled bits and was juicy, tender, and flavorful!
Food was fast, fresh, and flavorful and the restaurant was packed with plenty of to go orders going out too. We really enjoyed our meal there. I’m excited to dine at our local Northside Thai restaurant more in the future.
They brought our little guy a typical wooden high chair (with working buckle).

Goodness what a gem. TLDR; go!
I’m back home spending quality time with my dad this summer. I grew up in Fargo but have lived elsewhere since. Most of these other places had top-notch ethic cuisine options (Colorado, San Francisco, Austin..). It’s rare to have any cuisine with this level of freshness, execution, and value anywhere these days IMHO. In fact I’ll dare to say this might be some of the best Northern Thai food I’ve had, and nothing else comes to what you get for the price you pay.
The spring rolls were first; delightfully surprised that the $6 order came with 4, north standard two. They’re admittedly smaller than most, and without addition of vermicelli, but they’re packed with fresh veg and a modest amount of protein. Bonus: two different dipping sauces included. Next came our entrees. Generous portions are an understatement. My Labb Moo was on point. It’s a spiced ground pork alongside fresh lettuce, cucumber, carrot, cabbage. Sticky rice is provided separately in a bag. I’m not sure the traditional way to eat it, but the rice is so hot. I like to dump a little bit into the bowl and grab a little of each component in a bite.
Employee told my dad that the best thing on the menu is the fried rice. Maybe she sized him up for what he really wanted because I bet there are other even better things on the menu, but it was outstanding fried rice. We added the chicken ours. It’s a good amount of meat and good quality meat as well. Read: rotisserie chicken or roasted chicken, pulled into bits with crispy skin and succulent flesh. Side sauce provided for a kick.
Need to say we were thoroughly impressed and we aren’t the easiest people to impress. And not only us – we saw three other customers leave profusely thanking the staff with smiles on their faces. THAT is also rare and speaks volumes. Enjoy!

i LOVE Thai food—try it everywhere i can find it—and believe me when i say the khao soi curry here is one of the best Thai dishes i have EVER had. chef TJ told me the curry paste comes directly from his wife Gina’s hometown in Chiang Rai. it’s clearly a labor of love and absolutely a must-try for anyone in Fargo. see y’all tomorrow……..

Best Thai food I have ever had. They’re a small husband and wife owned restaurant that produces amazing food. I cannot recommend this place enough. My only complaint is that I now live 1.5 hours away so I can’t enjoy it everyday like I would want.
