Food of CT
My family and I visited Thai Bowl for dinner while we were in the area. We’ve often heard rave reviews, and since we love Thai food, we were happy to finally satisfy our curiosity. Looking over the menu, I was surprised to see that it was smaller than a lot of other Thai restaurants we’ve been to, and they were missing a couple apps/entrees that I would have expected them to have. Nothing was necessarily bad, but we felt that it was average compared to our usual Thai spots. The chicken in our dishes was dry, and the portions were on the smaller side. Attentive staff and the food did all come out quickly. The dining room was clean and nicely decorated. I really wanted to like it more here, but we don’t see ourselves coming back.

While the simple decor of the place might suggest something else, the food is very good, as is the service. We kept in simple with dumplings, shrimp in a blanket, crispy spring rolls, friend rice, pad Thai and Tom Kia Gai soup and everything was very good. We also went on a Tuesday night and it was pleasantly packed. A good sign things will stay the same for years to come!

We’ve been eating here for years — I first started going when I worked at the dealership nearby, at least once a week. Even after moving to Meriden, I still pick up takeout whenever I’m in the area. Lately, I’ve been there more often just because I love the food so much.
The pho is outstanding, the pineapple fried rice is always flavorful and fresh, and the chili duck and spring roll garlic beef never disappoint. The portions are generous, everything tastes made-to-order, and the consistency is impressive. Passing through for work with Manny Roofing puts me all over the state, but whenever I’m nearby, this place is my go-to lunch stop. Highly recommend — a must-try!

A lovely hidden hem with excellent Thai food. Each menu item is rich in flavor and was made with a lot of love. The crab rangoon and Thai coffee were my favorite and I would recommend them for sure. Everything is authentically Thai!
(just be aware, you need to park on the road if you want to visit this restaurant)

God Awful customer service ON top of not getting the item as it was advertised. This size these is a disgrace , especially because we are familiar with the size if these rice paper wraps .And further berating your customer’s intelligence by putting a spit amount of peanut sauce that was extra .50 in this 1oz cup . I think Id like to start my food review career as of tonight. I asked for a refund . The waiter told me NO and then asked if I wanted more peanut sauce ? “Would more peanut sauce make you happy?” Wont be revisiting, wont recommend. We spent $68 . This trip and I wanted $12 of it back.

Not happy. I ordered from door dash and requested the paid Thai with fried chicken and spring rolls. Instead I got grilled shrimp with my pad Thai, and I have a shellfish allergy. I called to try to correct this and she insisted I ordered the grilled shrimp and refused to correct it. Instead she told me to call door dash and order the meal again. So I was supposed to straighten this out through door dash when they did nothing wrong? And then I’m supposed to reorder another meal and pay again, with them profiting?? They did nothing and offered nothing. Total waste of time and money and bad service to have not even offered anything to compensate. I would not order shrimp with a shellfish allergy. No thank you to this place. From what I’ve read, I’m not the only one who has ordered a meal to go from here that was done wrong and they offered no suggestion to fix it, except in a way that compensated them. There are other thai restaurants, I’ll take my business there.

First I want to start off by saying that the food here is phenomenal and delicious. I came here last Friday with my fiance and the pad thai was to die for and so were the spring rolls into crab rangoons. That being said when I first arrived to the restaurant I very much felt very snubbed. I almost felt as if I was inconveniencing the waitress and especially when asking for a refill for my water. The first half of my visit was not very welcoming. Halfway through my visit though I did notice a shift in attitude after I mentioned to my fiance how I was going to make this review and post pictures of the food online. After then the treatment was a lot better. Regardless I believe I would still come back here because the food was phenomenal. I would give them a second try especially since the manager treated us better than the server.

This is my new favorite Thai place in CT! Their food is fantastic and their prices are very reasonable. They have the best Thai curry I’ve tried, and everything on the menu we’ve had has been super fresh and high quality. The dining area is small but the back seating area is cozy if you can get a spot there (it’s usually very busy at dinnertime regardless of the day of the week). We will continue to return regularly!

Absolutely delicious! I really enjoy a drunken noodle, and theirs has just the right amount of spice to it. Right in the goldilocks zone. The dumpling soup was excellent too, with a very tasty broth. Treat yourself and try the Crab Rangoon. The sauce that comes with it is worth it alone. A lovely and unique sweet yet slightly citrusy combination that compliments the creamy and fried flavors perfectly.
